Help!! Plants smell of dog shit!

Hello. This pretty much my 1 first time growing. I have 2 plants in a 48x24x60 grow tent in my room right next a window. One gorilla glue #4 and one is a seed I found in some shake from a med shop (Mystery). Both I’ve grown from seeds (indoors) and both have been growing and looking fine, both still do. I’ve been feeding them General Organics and Molasses with a tad bit of Silica Blast and Super Thrive the whole time they have been growing. No problems what so ever... but now it’s been 25 days since I started the 12/12 light schedule and the gg4 smells like straight shit. Well the buds do. 2 days ago it smelled distinctively like gg4 but not today. The temperature in the tent hasn’t risen past 82 and the humidity is always between 40% and 48%. Air flow has been pretty decent and their about 2 feet away from a 1000 watt LED. I cut a tip of a bud and inspected both plants for mold and didn’t see anything but trichs and hairs. The cutting smelled normal like a unrippen bud or cutting, like grass. Also on that one particular bud the smell is gone now. Only thing I can say I’ve did differently with the last 2 days was raise a fan higher and might’ve given it too much molasses. Other than that I don’t know what’s up with this smell. Oh yea, the smell is only on 1 or 2 of the buds on the Mystery plant.

Can someone help??? Not sure it’s the start of mold or the fact the the room my tent is in kinda got funky. Or the feeding or what. I truly need help. I can’t find too much of anything on any forum that gives a good answer.

It's supposed to stink, well some strains. Why do you think buds have odors. That's how weed is perfectly normal.

Obviously, but the smell changed within a couple days from that well known GG4 smell to something different. Is that normal?

Probably ok- I've noticed ubrupt changes in smell too... i just get a kick out of the dogshit smell thing.. lol. It comes up every now and then. I've had some funk mid flower, but nothing that stinks unpleasantly or remotely akin to dogshit... lol

I wouldn't suspect it being bad. I got 2 gorilla glue seeds I should pop them. Yeah my crystal dwarf auto change stench. I never worried about it nutrients and soil also play a role. Like im using fox farms an it makes them stink good

There's a strain called strawberry dog shit

My dinachem, gorilla bomb, kosher kush have been my stinkiest the kosher kush in particular smelled like putrifying garbage, dinachem was just funky as and gorilla bomb like fermenting fruit, dinachem was my first grow and I thought it was off or something was wrong too lol. Congrats that means you got a real good pheno.

Well I can even say funky. On the dirty fish tank side. Not bad to where I don’t wanna smoke it lol. Just a musty smell that’s catching me off guard.

Ok cool. I love the stink of weed no matter what it stinks like lol but the fact it changed out of nowhere scares me.

Mann thanks! I’m glad to know that now. I been stuck in the house all day trying to figure it out lol. It had the whole house smelling like it too but didn’t think it was a good thing. I’ve came across some “hash plant” in a med shop in Long Beach over 6 years ago that had almost this same smell and it was bomb af but with me just starting to grow and the smelling changing out of nowhere made me think I did something wrong.

Dirty fish tank.. love it lol! It's pretty wild the crazy ringtones that come off of these ladies...

Agreed, I'm jealous. I once had some unknown stuff that smelled just like poo. To me it was more like baby poo, but I'm sure that's what it was. That stuff made me float away, was killer...

I'm growing chemdawg#4 this season it's a really robust vigorous thing in veg, so impressed I ordered a pack of seeds lol.

Maybe your soil is making anerobic acids? That can happen if your soil stays too wet. Does it have a methane smell? That could indicate nitrogen depletion.unless its just a stinky strain. Lol strawberry dogshit haha
