ok my plant has been in the flowering cycle for 18 days and there is no signs of flowering what so ever, some stigmas have formed and i know its a female but shes being a bitch and isnt flowering i currently have the lights at 12/12 and the fucking colas (tops) are so massive they are beginning to burn i have them tied off even. can i cut the light to say 10/14 or 11/13 to speed up flowering and stop the vertical growth shit?, several of my leaves are burning. and i need flowers to bring the colas (tops) away from the light. any suggestions, i dont want to top because my main cola (top) is in a good position and isnt burning

you could be letting light in during the 12/12 cycle. it must be total dark during 12/12, and keeping it 12/12 should slow the vertical growth.

that is the worst description i've ever heard. you contradict yourself. if you want good help we need good pics. check your vocabulary. good luck.

my vocabulary? you must not know how to read because it makes complete sense to me and everyone else
the confusion lies with you describing the top stem as colas. Colas are the huge chunks of budding flowers that form at the top of the main stem. He's wondering how you can have massive colas on a plant that hasnt flowered yet.

colas are the spots at the top of the branches where flowering takes place, just because they haven't began flowering doesnt mean they arent colas. what would i call them? branches? nah that seems too broad

when you say cola, everyone who knows anything thinks a big nug at the top, not a bare branch, you are using terminology thats confusing.

ok so what should they be called if they are the exact same thing, just with no flowers? because ive heard them called colas ever since ive joined this site whether people are veging or flowering.

i just call them tops, as in the top of the plant. To each his own. I didnt have a problem understanding you, i was just trying to explain the confusion to the other guy.

you guys are the only people that got confused with me calling them colas? i dont know what else to call it except a cola, because when people show pics of their plants and say look at the colas etc. it looks exactly the same as my tops.
