HELP PLEASE!!!!one of the roots in the net pot are very hairy! Is it mould??

normally hairy roots are actually a good sign. most aeroponic systems create a nice hairy root mass. these hairs are better at absorbing the necessary micro and trace elements the plants love in order to flourish. although you say this root mass is smaller then the rest. are the roots brown or white?

Hey, my roots are brownish, have been since I can remember. Is this a bad sign? My plants seem to be healthy besides that.

It may be the nutes you are using, are any of them organic? I know humic acid will stain your roots brown, fulvic can too (a little)...
If you can't put it down to your nutes then you may be witnessing the start of a problem.

wow. I just checked my roots again and found that my buckets were nearly empty! I a terrible mother, I know. I think it's probably just the 'nutes. GH nutes, the micro specifically are a reddish/brown colour. It's probably just the color of the nutes. Wow, I didn't realize they drank so much. Thirsty bitches

brownish isn't that bad as long as they're firm and no other signs above 'ground', nutes do play a part in discolouration. mostly you find the issue on the upper part of the plant which leads to a root check and problem id, but the question asked at the begining leads me to believe that the plant simply reacted according to its environment and created a hairy root mass to absorbe moisture in the surround air from the nuts in the bottom of the growing chamber, but for this to be the case they should be whitish since they've had little direct contact with the nutes. this is my understanding of the query. as i reread the roots are white so there is no negative for the root mass, quite good actually. i wouldn't worry about it wdldtoker
