I took my "the widow" seedlings from under the FLuo lights i have and put them into my NFT system. I checked them every 45 mins to an hour. after the first couple of hours I noticed that a couple of the fatter leaves had started turning a lighter colour at the edges and now half way up a couple of leaves.
I had them on formulex, 5ml to 1 litre of PH water, I put them in the NFT with "advanced hydroponic of holland" 3 part feed. using the mix for veg cycle.
(now for the part that will prob have you laughing, crying(while laughing) or shouting at me.)
I never used my grow for a while, and started again because I am fed up paying through the nose(no jokes please) for primo weed.
I think that last set of nutrients , that were probably on full buhhna for flowering, were left to evaporate in the resovoir. Would they have crystalised and hung around to be re-hydrated with the next set of(oh shit even I am starting to see it) nutrients, and now be super strength ,shit Im killing my plants, get me a dyper nutrients :0/ ??
or will they have evaporated and disappeared, never to bother me again(cant see it)!
I then grabbed my hose , stuck it on the end of the pump, and drained the fucker. the colour of the nutrients I put in were a nice light crimson, almost like a rose wine colour. Well, what came out was around 30ltrs of well, vinegar looking liquid!!
I grabbed 20 litres of fresh water and slung the pump in the 20litre bucket and stuck the other end of the hose on top of the 4" rockwool cube in the hope to flush the poor wee virgin.
I got 10 litres into that and realised I hadnt PH'd the water. Quick test it was up at around 8 !!!. (you couldnt make this up, what a nightmare) )SO, stopped the pump, topped the water in the 20 litre bucket back up and ph'd it using PH'down(thats nasty looking stuff eh?, even the label shouts FUCK OFF). and then ran that 20 litres of PH'd water over the top of the 4" rockwool and into the NFT resovoir.
So thats where I am now. I tell you its not long knocking the high outa you when you see you little fems starting to go to feck !!!
I know this ended up more of a book than a question , but hey Im looking for advice , tips.. your never too old to learn..
