help pls
in my first grow after transplanting and watering the soil went down a lot so this time i packed the soil in the pot tightly putting in more soil making the pot full however it takes too long to drain they are 2mo veging roots almost maxed out pots and growing very slowly also i can only water about once a wk the soil stays so wet so long

ok so i packed soil too tight now what do i do to fix the problem?

ive heard sticking pencil holes in the soil will help but im afraid to damage roots is this safe and is there a better way?

Just squeeze the sides of your pot to loosen the dirt and I water by feel when you water your plants and it drains feel how heavy the pot is than when it gets super light you know to water again, when you transplant don't pack it to tight hold your plant to the desired height than fill around it than by the stem you push it down a little so when you water your plant won't fall over and won't get blown over
