so a few of them had been leaning over for a while but since i started usin the fertilizer theyvey perked up. still need hlp with stringyness tho
hi, you should get a fan on it and spray them with water. this simulates harsh outdoors conditions your seedlings are native to. wind and rain make the stem stronger, if you have a nice strong stem it should be ok. seedlings grow quickly anyway. if they begin to fall over, use a lolly stick to help them to stand up.i thought my seedlings were doin ok but ive been lookin around the site and ive seen pics of other seedlings that people say are stretchy and mine are 3x stretchier!!!!! wtf can i do?! theyre indoor under lights right now about three inches above them. the lights are 40w sun stick flourescents. PLZ HELP!
sorry i wish i could upload a pic but my phone wont take any pictures smaller than 640x480
I've used cheap 2 tube shop lights with 40W cool white bulbs for years to start my plants & keep mine 1" from the plants. Not many lumens from those tubes but not much heat either. They will keep stretching for more light at 3". I also line the shop light with tin foil for better reflection.i thought my seedlings were doin ok but ive been lookin around the site and ive seen pics of other seedlings that people say are stretchy and mine are 3x stretchier!!!!! wtf can i do?! theyre indoor under lights right now about three inches above them. the lights are 40w sun stick flourescents. Never used sun sticks.I'm sure they give a better light spectrum than cheap cool whites. Just make sure they don't give off too much heat & burn your plants.K just lowered them to an inch. Are my lights ok? you say you use cool whites and im using sun sticks and only one cool white is this ok?
are they going a bit yellow/brown?so a few of them had been leaning over for a while but since i started usin the fertilizer theyvey perked up. still need hlp with stringyness tho
