Help! seedling sprout only has 1 seed leaf!

i have a sprout that is 12 days old i mean it sprouted 12 days ago and has only 1 seed leaf it looks nice and green and stands up straight. it is in a grow tent under 2 2foot Cfl lights and i dont know if this is a bad thing or what. does anyone know if it will be ok? there are no true leafs yet when should they come in?

I wouldn't worry about it too much, I actually has this happen to me with one of my plants, it started out slow and was smaller than the rest of the plants but now its the largest and strongest pant it have, It did grow a little weird at first. The second pair of leaves only spouted one single leave also. People I showed it to was questioning if it was even marijuana. But I just stuck to it and it grew up to be a healthy female.

12 days with 1 seed leaf an no other leaves? I would start a new one

Like I said it did take a WHILE for it to start growing properly, so if you don't have the time to take care of it or if it is going to mess with the grow scheduled of other plants, just pull it and start a new one. But if time isn't an issue it is possible to nurse it back to healthy growth like I did.

When that has happened to me it was because the light was too far away and the girl was working on her stalk to streach to the light instead of developing leaves. Pics and light distance please

Yeah the light on mine too was pretty far away, and it grew taller instead of new leaves. How far away do you keep your fluorescent light? If its more than 6 inches the plant will stretch, I tend to keep CFLs about 2 inches inches away because they can burn your plant and about a inch or closer for fluorescent tube because they dont get hot enough to do any damage.

I just had this happen to me..... I'm leaving it to see what happens. seems to be growing good so far. no other leaves forming as of right now. it is less than a week sprouted....
