Hi my plants are about 7 days old and are way too tall about 6 inches i recently repotted them and put the stem about 4 inches under and put them allot closer to the light (is this distance safe)?
The lights are energy saver 20w CFL's
i do have a Computer fan going
what can i do to prevent them from stretching further?
i have put another dvd case underneith since i took the photo so it about 2 cm's closer to the lights
thanks

your lights arent strong enough and your plants are stretching to get more light, but they cant get anymore cuz the lights are too weak. i had the same problem when i first started. you just have to get more powerful lights

or more lights

yeah i'll start saving up for some BIG lights :D - do you think these lights will keep my plants going for another 2 and a half weeks?

Honestly, no. The plants will stretch to the point of not being able to hold the buds in flowering. The lights you linked are not in the correct spectrum for veg'ing either. You want 6500k spectrum for veg. Home Depot, Lowes, and maybe Wally World have them. Look for CFLs called Daylight or check the side of the package as some have the spectrum on them. I'd go with 23 or 26w (they are 100w equiv) 6500k for veg'ing and pick up some 2700k spectrum to add to those (or to replace those) for flowering. 42w ones would be nicer, but they can be harder to find at the places I listed above.

On the box the bulbs came in it says : 20 Watt, Equals 100W, Energy Saving Bulbs 2700K = warm white, E27/ES, 230-240V~50Hz, 1152 Lumen, 10000 h - these are the bulbs i have in at the moment?

you can re pot up to leaves if you want to solve prob from here

i normally start mine in cup 1/2 to 3/4 full and add more soil as seedling grows

2700k is for flowering...you definitely need to get some 6500k ones.
