Hello everyone,

Please see the attached pictures, these are a mixture of Paka and White Lady.

I think there is something seriously wrong with my grow. All my plants are tall and weak looking except for one plant which is bushy. All the other (as you can see in the pictures) are not dense at all. just few leaves on every branch.

What is going on and what do i need to do make them healtheir??

The one that IS bushy is in a different soil (i guess expert grow) and the rest in Miracle Grow soil.

Also the ones that are not bushy I can see a lot of "hair" (pre-flowers) on them but the one that is bushy has only got just a few (may be three "hair") all together!

We have been feeding with Miracle Grow Liquid Plant Feed. We had a serious problems with gnats that is why you will see a layer of sand on top of the soil.

Please help:cry:.

The main problem for stretching is Not enough light hitting them. It could also be that your plants are mainly Sativa. which would account for the tall lanky growth. A few of them also look like they have a nitrogen deficiency, which would account for the purple stems. It could be a number of problems with your growth, but since the only variant in these plants is the strain and soil, I'd have to guess that it's the soil that is causing the problem. Be carefull too because some of those plants look like they are either burned or having some sort of deficiency. Remember that different strains of marijuana take different types of nutrients at different levels.

How would you suggest we fix the nitrogen problem? We are using 6 GE fluorescent Daylight 48" 3050 lumens with 6500K color temp tube lights, thinking that would be enough??!! You're right they are a Sativa/Indica strain.

Also how can I fix the nitrogen issue?

Thanks.

Walmart.com - Always Low Prices! - GE Energy Smart CFL Light Bulb: 42 Watt (150W Equiv) 2-Pk

this is the one that I have used in the past. you'll need a hell of a lot of them for your plants. I'd suggest you add them to your lighting instead of replacing it. You can go to a nursery or walmart and buy blood meal. put a tablespoon in a quart of water and use a bubbler to bubble it overnight to make a tea. Water your plants with this and see if they perk up.

I have problem with gnats as well. I think Miracle grow soil is causing those gnats. I have been trying to get rid of them but cant seem to get them out, did you get rid of gnats? Gnats might be one of the problem for the weak growth because those lavae eat the juice from the root.

Abouth the light, just add more CFL lights, that would help...
good luck!

Yeah the plant which is not using Miracle Grow had very less gnats. We used a lot of gnat killer for veggitables but it didn't do a damn thing. We finally had to get some garden sand and put a generous amount on top of our soil. It has reduced the amount of gnats significantly. We still have gnats but nothing like we used to ... thank God!!

I wish we didn't use Miracle grow soil. If you can change the soil then do so otherwise i dont think you will be able to get rid of gnats. Just my two cents. Hope that helps.

Thanks.
