Very funny!use tape folded in and just touch your plant all over with it. make sure you do this every other day till harvest and you will be fine. also dispose of tape in trash outside immediatly
If you're already using c02 that mght be practical also growing in a smallish air tight space would help. As for the pompous "this alone will kill them" bullshit! No Spider Mites works. There maybe other problems with it that I'm not aware of but I'll find out in another month.got tired of the bickering, so skipped to the last page. just to clarify- a sure fire way to eradicate spider mites is suffocation. by repeatedly elevating co2 concentration in room air to 10,000ppm for 2 hours and then exhaust, you will in effect suffocate the mites and their eggs. This is not a method I've "heard of", or "read somewhere", this is actual application in the field that works time and time again. Obviously the best answer regarding mites is to be clean, and never get them. but once they are there, they get nice and cozy, by removing available oxygen by increasing co2 levels , they suffocate and die, this alone will kill them every time if done properly. of course by the time you notice- alot of damage has already been done, so it wont make yer girls pretty again in 10 minutes but it WILL kill those lil fuckers. mites love high temps, cluster fuck gardens, and unprotected plants. mites hate well spaced ventillated areas, neem oil, and sterile gardening practices.
it may not work every time but i do agree it's effective... otherwise NASA probably wouldn't use it. i simply think it's a good part of an IPM plan, which is why i use it in my garden. If you're already using c02 that mght be practical also growing in a smallish air tight space would help. I just picture you with a pipe and smoking jacket taking in a British accent tell us we suck and talking about NASA. LOL With British accent "And that is why I use it in my garden" I kill myself... Its made for weed. Besides I tasted it and it has zero flavor. I know you think I'm crazy to taste a pesticide but there are NO chemicals in it and I'm in contact with far worse shit in my day job! The label says that it is exempt from EPA regs cos its a 'minimum risk pesticide".
You know what good thing came outta this thread? He now has like 30 options to choose from to get rid of those little bastards.. Good luck dude and i hope you nuke em
yea - "smallish", for you to know how funny that is to me, you'd have to be me! but I really have nothing to prove, theres always someone bigger and badder. didn't mean to sound pompous, just trying to save people some grief, but reading my post back- maybe a lil pompous... apologies didn't intend to take a condescending tone. but real shit, get a co2 tank for that purpose alone, even if you don't run it daily in the garden. it can save a lot of hassle. I've found it to be a better method than any foliar applied pesticide. peaceIf you're already using c02 that mght be practical also growing in a smallish air tight space would help. That only works for fairies.I heard if you sprinkle pixy dust on the leaves it will make them go away............ 31 ways now Max
I'm going to keep an eye out for a used c02 set up because you're right , even with the best spray its near impossible to hit every mite. Especially in a crowded tent or scrog. Anyone know the c02 cost [in So Cal] to treat about 300 cu ft?yea - "smallish", for you to know how funny that is to me, you'd have to be me! but I really have nothing to prove, theres always someone bigger and badder. didn't mean to sound pompous, just trying to save people some grief, but reading my post back- maybe a lil pompous... apologies didn't intend to take a condescending tone. but real shit, get a co2 tank for that purpose alone, even if you don't run it daily in the garden. it can save a lot of hassle.
