Help the newbie

So the other day i came home and checked out the plant and she had a friend (i believe to be a aphid brown w/wings) over for a snack as soon as i tried to grab him he flew off into a nug or hid some were i have checked the plant from top to botttom leaves stem EVERYWERE i rotate the top soil to avoid gnats wanting to live in my medium.So what does an aphid do to my plant besides suck up sap and live i know that but how does it affect my bud dead spots?death? I have also increased the amount of air blowing over the plant ive read that they dont much like windy places.I have tsaken some pics of my trichomes below im waiting for the amber i love couch-lock!!!!!!!!!!!!! also the trichomes are the real way to test when the plant is ready right? so what about pistils some of mine are turning orange but most are still white do they show any signs of bud ready for harvest??? I have also taken a sample of the bud it is now drying im going to actually cure this little piece which i think will take half the time since its only like a .5 so these are some updates
 
Here are some close up macro to a 100x microscope the one below has a red shadow on one side thats not the color of the actual trichomes

If you let the trichs go to 75% amber you'll get couch locked brother. I had to hit the road for a shutdown so I have'nt posted. My MK is in flower as well. I have her under 600 watts. I'll post pics when it gets real interesting. You've done well though.
 
ill keep posting flicks like the one up there and when it hits that point to chop it let me know thanks you ive tried hard to do everything right and havent ran into any massive problems altough since the guy next to me is a dirty s.o.b his trash has been infested with gnats idk how theyre getting in but i see one flying at least every day and try to kill it i also rotate my top soil around in hopes of making them feel unwelcome if any are there trying to nest
 
im also looking into a 4 to 6 tube flourescent light any opinions on these type of lights?

I know about the low heat and elec. i mean results good yield and what type of tube spectrum in good?

also looking into a tent for my next small op escape bugs and controlled enviornment bugs light ect.
 
57 days flowering today 8 weeks on fri. changed watering to filterd water that is ph'd ill need to take pics but it looks like the nugs up top are either slanting to the light or weighed down im keeping my eye on it also i used a homemade recipe for pest controll if you read abiut a recipe that calls for onion garlic red chillies and some dish soap(NO BLEACH) it works ive been seeing gnats but i used it yesterday and i havent seen one yet but i just got home so idk ill update with flicks asap peace

T5's and CFL's are great for vegging and I've seen decent results with CFL's for harvest. It all boils down to what you're happy with. If you just want some bud, CFL's will definitely work. If you want fist sized buds loaded with trichs you may want to invest in bigger guns. The difference in my plants once I've hardened them to my 600 HPS lights and they kick in is a joy to watch.
 
slonez> never going back to cfl's a wires and hanging not to say i wouldnt with regular lights but its less hassle better job= more money and better toys all in good time but the t5 seems like the next stage

my friend gave me a bottle of organic neem oil i have a few more friends hangin around the room so ive used it lightly and the fan on high to help dry so the light dosent burn the leaf or anything......so is that okay during flower? im almost even thinking of getting some daddy long leg spiders in here the only kind of spider i dont mind also lady bugs but when they hatch ill have about 100 useless pets same with the preying mantis<<<< really thinking on that one too but the most important is that im not fucking up my work with the neem oil ive read good and bad
 
my buddy tells me 2 more weeks maybe 1 added on but looking good organic neem oil didnt do much harm im pulling the nugs to open them a little(looking for bud rot) ill post wet harvest when available.
 
adding a week not a majority of amber trichs yet i just got a nice job for the next month so ill be getting a tent and a new light just got some purple sour dieselvstartring from seed first time w this so ill probly add a new grow to this thread well thats it
