Im not saying that you are requesting the forum because you are lazy to use the search bar.I just dont feel it is needed or necessary.I mean if you make a sub forum for that then why not make one for indicas and sativas?

I see what you are saying man, but autos are a little different. Something is either an auto or it isn't. Indica/sativa/hybrid is a little more subjective. Some people might say well this plant is mostly indica so I'll put it in with the indicas, while someone else might say well it's a hybrid. I guess you can make an arguement either for or against it, but honestly I don't really see the problem. How's a subforum in the general growing section going to negatively effect anyone? If anything I think it will help organize the site a little. Rather than having people put their threads and questions in the indoor, outdoor, CFL, or newbie section they will all be in one place and out of the way of people who don't grow them and don't care.

Ok this will sound a bit ridiculous Im sure, but I really think the #1 reason we need an auto sub forum is because every other site that is larger than RIU has one. It is the only reason I started trying to get one here in the first place. RIU is my home, and I hate having to sign up for other forums JUST for their auto sub forums. And I can tell you one thing, I can get stuck in ICMAG's auto sub forum for HOURS, simply because I can browse nothing but auto related threads without having to filter anything.
I like to try and keep up on new things, and if it is so new I havent heard of it yet, how the hell am I supposed to search for it ya know? I totally see where you are coming from with staying away from creating useless sub forums, but as Sonar said, autos are much different. Their life cycle, the time in which they show sex, the light schedules used, the nutrient regiments, are all so very different from all non AF strains that they can easily be classified as their own group.
I too have noticed many people leaving this site and is sucks because there are truly a lot of great people here that love to help others. I like to consider myself one of them, and I would like to see this site continue to thrive and not lose members to other sites based on information being too spread out when something could easily be done.
To me, this is the "we need a CFL sub forum" all over again. In my opinion, AF threads have become the new CFL threads. The worst part about it is that when there was no CFL forum, a simple title search for "CFL" would bring back all you needed. Now, there is not a single word or phrase that will bring as many AF results as "CFL" did for CFL growers. Hell searching the AF resource thread alone would probably get you closer to what you're looking for, but still isnt good enough.

I agree that we need a sub thread for Auto Flower plants. I'm growing AF for the 1st time and I went to check out the Auto Flower and Resources Thread but all I found was pictures of many different AFs and no organization. I was looking for information on Blue Mystic, I'm 22 days into growing. I would love to start a sub thread about them.

Ok so wtf is going on here i dont understand it doesnt matter how many hits the threads get for a mod to see it they see them all and can edit/delete any thats why there mods..? so reading all ok KBs asking for AF threads i dont think any of the mods have said no and explained why.... Seems they are just ignoring the whole deal..

i don't grow autos so my opinion might not count, but i think there would be so much less need for sub forums if they would just revamp the search feature on this site. 2 and 3 letter phrases like ph, t5, lst, etc. get left out so the search can be very cumbersome and tedious to use. sure you can use google, but google isn't going to give you a big long list of riu threads pertaining to your search, tell you what section it's posted in, who wrote it, when they wrote it, how many views/responses, etc. there would be no need for an auto subforum if people could utilize riu's search without knowing special tips and secrets to making it work.

u cant compare sativa's and indicas to ruderalis autoflowers thats just stupid , we need a SUB FORUM. where are the mods ..dont they have anything to say about it ?
