Hi,

Hope someone can shed a bit of light on a little issue i have.
I have recently started some babies and 2 weeks into veg they stopped growing and the leaves are curling at the tips and drying out rapidly.
I am using a 400wt light, coco with house and garden nutes. The PH of the water is 6.0 and ive tried flushing for a week and still the same issues.
I have noticed a white fur on the stems, is this the reason they have stopped growing? there is no signs of mites under the leaves and i fumigated the room before the grow.
See my pictures below and hopefully someone can help me.

Thanks Miller.

looks like spidermites to me. don't know why they aren't growing. shortage of nutes perhaps. That will turn leaves funky colors. My monkey paw was diong that, I increased nutes, prob solved.

I have slowly started to increase the nutes but dont want to over do it, just seams a bit strange as the new growths come through they go dry and crispy at the ends. My guessin was a mite.

Do you think its worth trying to kill the mites or cutting my losses and starting from scratch??

Thanks

dosnt seem to be spider mites im not noticing any white dots but it could be heat stress because of the curling tips but could also be the nutes. i would suggest adding nutes to your water, if it is nutes they should look better in about a week. and if it is spider mites you can use neem oil or alcohol but make sure you water down the alcohol if you use it to about a 1:2 1:3 ratio.

i see no spidermite.. looks like some kind of fungus of some sorts.. whats ur %humidity and temps?

I did think heat stress but the temp max is 25c
I'm going by the house and garden nute chart and I've had a good flush for a week. I've just purchased some mite spray and gave them a good soaking so I will check them over the next few days and if no go I will cut my losses, shame because they started well.
Thankyou for all the responses.

no for real though i think its mealybugs. they leave a splotchy web and theyre so small they look like specks.
or FUNGUS. its hard to tell

If you have a scope, take a look up close and see if you can see any critters wandering around. A 30x should work.

a friend of mine just said mealybugs, after a soak last night it seams to have gone so over the next few days I will have a spray again and fingers crossed they come back strong. I will keep you updated so you can look out for it in the future!!
