Hi there mate.

This looks like a type of medium borne fungus. This is an extremely serious case as fungus can infect your other plants. Fungus will restrict nutrient uptake and eventually kill your plants. This plant needs to be isolated from your other plants immediately, as it will spread and infect other plants.

You need to purchase pure Hydrogen Peroxide (can be purchased from hair stores) and dilute it in water. 3 grams per liter and flush your infected plant with 3x - 4x the soil content. If you have a 3 liter pot, you'll flush with 9 liters of water (with the added Hydrogen peroxide). Once you've flushed, flush again with clean water no added Hydrogen peroxide. Do this for 3 days. It will kill the Fungus and then allocate the infected plant 7 days to recover from the flushing and resume normal routine.

I never worrie about what is growing in or on my soil. If there is microorganisms growing it is a good sign that the soil is good health. Mycorihaze is a type of fungus that you encourage to grow in your soil because it creates a network of millions of surfaces that the roots can explore and cover there fore making nute uptake easier. Peroxide will kill all the microrganisms in your soil for sure!! I have all colors of shit growing in and on my soil and my plants love me... ask themView attachment 2919136 I could probably post some pics just like yours if I looked hard enough, not a big deal ime.

If there is a thick layer of build up on top of your soil, its most likely salts from the fert you have been using. Just flush with a few gallons of 6.8 water and wait to water and fert. again untill its dry all the way thru.

I agree - it seems healthy to me to have a few gnats...it's "normal"
I read and read BUT tend to lean towards "it's a WEED."
I am so VERY glad to have this forum to ask questions to for sure!!!!
Thanks!

The root zone is the most important part of your plant..
