Help wiring my 4 QB's.....

So I got 4 X QB120's from HLG and the website recommended the HLG-240H-C2100

They recommend wiring the 4 boards in series
I wanted to be able to hook up my own potentiometer for dimming

So i got the B version of the driver for remote dimming (HLG-240H-C2100B)
Its a constant current driver

So can I wire this in series with this driver and still be dimmable?
As ive read the constant current drivers should not be run in parallel ?

Could someone provide a pic of the correct wiring.....thx so much

if that driver was recommended it will work. if you want to dim them you will need to purchase and install a potentiometer. they will all dim at the same rate as they are on the same driver .

Could someone verify the correct wiring layout, i posted a photo is that a safe diagram for my layout ?

probably not with that driver. if you want them all in series you need to wire them in series. your picture is of a parallel wiring.

go back to the horticulturelightinggroup.com and look again

your driver will work for your boards, but not set up with that diagram wiring.

sorry that diagram from from a thread on wiring.....HLG does not provide a wiring diagram only the suggested driver....

So, HLG recommended this driver for 4 qb120's
HLG-240H-C2100

it comes in either A or B, so i chose the B driver so I can dim remotely.

I just need to see how to wire it up...thx !

Ughhh...Sorry still not seeing which wiring layout for MY driver

the HLG shows all the different wiring layouts, but I have the B driver, and the drivers they are recommending arent showing if they or A or B. Confusing....please help. thx

I have the B driver 240H-C2100

They recommend
HLG-240H-C2100 but they do not say which A or B driver ugghh

i bought the B driver so i can dim remotely

There would be no difference between wiring an A series and a B series.

Try this video he wires up 4 boards with a pot in series on a 2100b driver.

I think you’re making it complicated. Wire it in series. So easy. Then one knob to dim them all. Watch any cob/QB diy on YouTube and you’ll see how easy it is.

This was shown for series wiring for my 4 boards, but can i use the driver i have with this wiring and still be dimmable ?
Thats a parallel wiring diagram. With series you just go from the negative terminal of the first board, to the positive terminal of the next, and so on. The negative from the last board will go back to the driver's negative wire. So it makes a loop - positive wire from the driver to positive terminal, neg to positive, negative to positive, negative to positive, until you get back around to the driver.

A or B driver makes no difference to the boards. B driver just has an extra pair of wires that go to the dimming pot.

Exactly what i was looking for !
thx Aolelon...
Except some of the polarities are incorrect on that diagram. Driver positive wire to board positive. Then its negative to positive, negative to positive, negative to positive, then negative back to the driver negative wire.
