Help with closet setup

What's up rollitup. I'm planning to grow in my closet real soon and all I need is the setup because the seeds are on their way comming. My closet is about 1x1.5m so I plan to get 2 or 3 plants in it if possible. I don't know which equipment I need to start, I guess I need a 400W lamp 2 fans 6inches and a thermometer. I don't know what else I need, it's not that I'm too lazy to read guides and all but I don't understand all these guides and I won't go outside in the market and buy some stuff, because they might not be what I am looking for. So if you are going to help me, please do it with an example and a site link so I won't go wrong with the setup. Also they told me something about pH meters, nutrients and all. Include them in your post.
PS: I want to grow in soil.

you should really read other posts, i wouldnt use a 400w for a few plants like you say. maybe a 250w cause 400w is really gonna cause a lot of heat you dont want or need.

did you take time out to read at all ?
400 watt hps, would definately go (air cooled) 265 cfm blower for exaust and cooling the 400 hps a hygrometer osc fan starting cups, mid pots, 3-5 gallon pots , a good (non fertialized soil) perlite, um... i'm stoned...

sorry thought youngmaf89 was asking for advice on what equipment to use, from my experience 400w too much if just starting for a few plants unless he/she want a really big yield and can let them grow big.

well yes and no... think about it,,, I personaly dont like 400 watt hps just because they are not big enough for me and they only penetrate good at about a foot below the canopy... but if your growing a few plants 2-3 plants hell ya, you'll see good results compared to a few cfls...
