help with Drying and curing plants

So I'm at 8 and a half weeks into flowering and will probably give it another half a week before I cut these suckers down. I've never had any experience drying and curing since this is my first grow. Another obstacle is I grow in my closet, so I don't have a big area to dry my buds. Also what's the ideal temperature and humidity for drying and for curing, also do I want to keep them in the dark as long as possible or is some light ok? Any suggestions for a simple DIY drying box would help(I'm only getting about 1/4 pound, so I don't need too much room for drying).

If you're in a closet, you can hang them from strings, several per hanger and get some room that way.
Or, dry larger branches, not small buds, that way there will be fewer of them, but longer.

I don't want to dry them in my grow room because I'm going to be using it. Is it ok to dry them just in my closet without any enclosed structure? Does it matter if they are exposed to light everyday? I was thinking about just getting a cardboard box and hanging a string from one side to the other, then cutting a hold at the top with a 4" booster fan attached and a hole at the bottom to act as an intake.

light off and on shouldnt hurt but your clothes might get smelly, the cardboard box deal sounds like a pretty good idea

Box is OK, but if you use a fan, be careful you don't dry them too quickly.
Light on/ off won't hurt, just keep them out of direct sun or the equivalent.
