help with ebb and flow system!!

i just setup an ebb and flow system, using a 60liter reservoir and 40liter grow tub. i wanted to know how the watering system works exactly. ive read up and down in the marijuana horticultural bible but it doesnt go to in depth. how long should i let the nutrient water sit in there for? how many times should i pump and drain it a day? should i always use nutrient water solution or should i sometime put in regular water? how often should i change the water? Any help would be awesome!!

im putting in six plants tommorow morning so, i really need this answered tonight!!

what kind of medium are you going to use ? This will determine flood times.

As far as cleaning, I like to drain my res every other week and drain and clean everything once a month.

Weekly nute replacement and about 2-4 floods per lights on period is a good place to start.

I flood 3 times while the lights are on with rockwool cubes and the clones that are in just straight hydroton get 5-6 floods with the lights on and 1 in the middle of the dark period.

im using a mix of perlite and peat moss, but i just flooded and they started floating, so i need a new medium..any recommendations? i weighted it down so it wouldn't float. thanks for the help! =))

Thoroughly rinsed Hydroton.

If youre using hydroton, you could flood for 15 minutes every 3 hours while the lights are on.
start the first flood when the lights go on and every 3 hours after that until lights out.

I second this! Did you not do any research on what you are doing because perilte and moss would be the worst media for ebb & flow. People, they always think they know everything and then expect others to bail them out. Thinking about it this is the first person I have seen use that combo and have the balls to come on here and ask for help.
