Help with germination!

Hi there! I have recently purchased 15 feminised seeds (5x Kings Kush, 5x Himilaya Gold, 5x Lemon Skunk) from the Greenhouse Seed Company for my first grow, to be put in a room that is currently being set up now.

I began to germinite the seeds using the paper town method on plates placed next to the boiler as the vegitation part my of room was ready, and after two days, around half of the seeds seemed to have cracked, two of which with 10mm roots, and so I decided to pot them all to make things easier (probably a massive newbie error!). They were potted into a mixture of potting soil perlite and vermiculite and placed under 4 t5's, inside a propergator with the lid on.

After a few days the two which already had roots had surfaced, and so I took the lid off, but no sign of the others. After another day there was still nothing, and I saw a heated propergater tray for cheap so i grabbed that, and theyve been in that for another two days almost, and still nothing at all from the rest of the seeds!

They have been kept nice and moist with room temperature water and its pretty warm in there so I am lost, what should i do from here? Its been a week now from first germination which seems like a pretty long time...

I dont think ive done anything majorly stupid. I think each of the methods i used would have worked on their own but maybe it was jus the changing of conditions thats screwed em up i dunno. So u guys think theres stil a good chance of em comin up? im obviously gonna leave em for a while anyway but what chances would u put em at honestly?

Well, after emptying out 3 of the mini pots the only thing i managed to find was a long white stem stretching from the bottom almost to the top of one of the pots, with nothing at either end, so the seed obviously fell to far down. I think this would have been when I first watered the mix, as it was loosesly packed the whole thing kind of sagged and i guess they fell to the bottom. The mix makes its virtualy impossible to find seeds in especially when moist, so I gave up on that. I have now separated the two which look ok from the others and put the rest back into the heat tray and under a black cover, so I'll give it another few days under there, but im not too hopefull :(

I was hoping to have this grow done by christmas but if I gotta order more seeds it aint looking good. Generally this has been a complete failure and im already thinking this might not be my thing...

1st be patient. as a newbie you never sprout all of your seed 1st time. the paper towel work preety well for me,and i din't have to used heated propergater. may be u try to used just CFL/FL light for germination/seedling. but i used 70w hps light for my germination stage. try it out. and 1 other thing is your seed plant/burried in the soil the right way?

I realise I have been impatient and ive learnt my lession, im jus wondering if there any real chance of any popping up still, as if i need to order seeds i need to be doing it now. As most of the seeds were only cracked it was hard to get the right way but i tried my best, but as i said when i watered them (which i now realise was a mistake) the whole mix sagged so who knows what happened to the seeds in there.

btw i wasnt expecting to sprout them all which was the reason for buying 15, but 2/15 is pretty terrible!

Ok, and update on the situation: I managed to find almost all of the seeds in the soil eventually, the majority of which are cracked, looking pretty much the same as they did when I put them in, but on the ones there are slightly opened the inside looked dark. I dont know whether this is because they are dead or there is just soil in there, what do you guys think?

Just to recap they have been in germination for a couple of days then in soil for around 5 days, the last two of which being heated. They are now in paper towels again and inside dishes on the heat pad, and im goin to leave them for as long as it takes.

Do the ones that have been cracked for a week but showing no signs of roots have any chance of survival? I could really do with a no bs opinion before the morning so I can order some more asap. Any help much appreciated!
