help with light set up 250w hps.mh

aswome site here this is very helpfull! well i have 45in L/2ft W/10ft T grow space i would like to set up a 250 w hps/mh lite system with hopes of beaing able to have 3 female plants. do you think this lite choice is rite and space for the 3 plants. also if anybody could help with the ph/ppm levels after the germination cycle or do u use them early right after u put them in soil.thank for reading! any advice would help greatly.:bigjoint:

You usually dont give them nutes if your in soil for 2-3 weeks. Usually just 2. But ph balance your water to 6.5. Also if you do use nutes, just 1/4 strength of the dosage recomended on the label.

As for the 250 watt, it will hold out for 3 plants, 2 would be better yield. If you get some cfls to supplement you could do 3.
 
It's enough light for 3 small plants. If you want to grow small indicas and use about 3' total of that 10' height and only 2.5sf of floor space then that's ok.

If you are wanting to use the whole space and grow as big as you can or tall sativas you'll need more. You'll also need good ventilation and a cooltube.

Yes you could use 600w in that space.

In addition to the above you'll need some ducting, and a duct fan

No nutes for the first week or two, wait for some full leaves, then 1/4 strength nutrients and work up from there if there's no sign of burn.
