help with tent again please

Hello everyone back AGAIN for help. Cant manage to keep my temps down. In the pics I have a 250cfm 4" duct fan blowing in cool air from my room along with the desk fan blowin air thru a vent. The other side is a vornado facing level. When I had facing towards the lights temps were 2 degrees higher. I was running a 400w mh at 250w on my ballast which had my tent at 88 degrees but I heard it was bad to under run a bulb so I turned it up and raised the light its at 91. The temps at the top of the tent is much cooler than below at about a 3-4 degree difference. When I open the top zipper about a foot to vent hot air at the top and that actually makes it hotter down below the light because the cool air at the top is escaping. I have a 260 cfm 6" duct fan at the the top runnin from 4" dryer duct from the light to the fan. The fan is blowing thru 3' x 6" duct to a twin fan blowing outside. The room I am in is aboit 82 feels like mid 70s. I want to add more duct from the fan below to the hood but I feel like the duct would be too long to do anything.

I feel on the other side of the light the air pulling and the heat comin out from the duct by the fan

you need a bigger outtake fan.....to create negative pressure and suck out all that heat. also oscillating fan needs to be inside the tent.
looks like your getting hotspots from the light wich is why its hotter lower even though heat naturally rises.
there is a product for your reflector called a "Super Spreader". it attaches to your bulb socket and distributes light more evenly and eliminates hot spots. i found one here for around $30 bucks. http://monstergardens.com/index.php?route=product/product&filter_name=super spreader&product_id=1028

Ill take a look thannks. I have a 6 inch exhaust and a 4 inch intake. There are three vents at the bottom also

If I took the ducting off the light and fan and just ran the exhaust fan to the window the heat would then rise wouldnt it? Or would the heat from the bulb offset it?

I put the 4" exhaust at the bottom facing o ut made it hotter. Put it facing in didnt make a difference. Put it at the top facin out it got hotter.

Jus get a window ac, I'm grow in a garage and its hot as hell in there. But I got that situated

Also that bend in the duct where it comes out from the light looks to be pretty sharp. If you could get that to not angle at 90 degrees coming out it will allow more airflow. Everybend takes more energy for the fan to pull or push air through. A window ac will take care of it it looks like as well. I have to keep my ambient temps around 70 degrees to keep my tent cool. edit: I only use a 250W hid so if you want to optimize definetly get an ac unit. It will pay for itself.

Lol ya I seen that the garage don't shut all the way and took advantage and found a part at Home Depot that fits in between the cracks to pull in fresh air from outside..the 8" fan next to it is almost on 24/7 ,trying to find a controller that can kick on the 8" fan when the window ac kicks on..ghetto gumbo

Would it be better to pull air from outside or from my room if i had an ac? And do u just have the ac pointing towards the fan or? And I iust bought this so ill hook the filter to the one side of the light n replace this 6" duct fan on top with the new fan

Getting a portable a/c should solve your problem. Also mount a good exhaust fan on the top to create negative pressure that will bring fresh air through bottom.

the fan was a good idea......as far as ac just a window ac will be fine.......but i still think u need more fan
