help with transplanting

Been reading this forum for a few days now and was wondering when transplanting the seedlings should I put the soil up to the top of the plant like the attatched picture...sorry I can draw better with a pencil but I think you can see in the drawing what I am speaking about. The brown on the picture is just the soil I didnt want to draw the pot.

i transplanted a plant today and i did it like the second pic. it looked more stable that way.

If your plants look anything like picture one you may want to wait a week or so for a few more leaves to come out. This will also allow for better root development. VV
