Hey everyone buddy could use a little(lot) of help, had to open a new account in urgency. Been a while since Buddy grew. having some problems. Buddys Growing a white widow under a 600w hps the plant has been growing great, although it had rough start. Buddy recently tied back the branches since then the bottom leaves have started to turn yellow and over the past 3 days the yellow has moved into the higher branches. The higher branched leaves are also developing brown spots on some of the leaves. The leaves are also curling and sets are turning yellow. Tried to take pics with my dslr but cannot connect,I will have more pics up tomorrow morning ASAP. Anyone with any suggestions please let me know it would be extremely appreciated.

p.s.you can see in picture that new growth is starting to show spots

It looks like a PH issue, also possibly a mixture of Nitrogen and Calcium deficiency.

Are the plants in a veg state or flower?

do the stems have red stripes or solid purple areas? how about the fan leaf stems, are they turning red/purple? looks like a ph lockout situation to me.

You have already received some viable feedback from other members, and they are cluing you in well. What I can add is this: As you already know there are a mirrad of causes, many of which share common symptoms. To truly figure it out is much like diagnosing a vehicle issue. It is a process of elimination and deductive reasoning. Everyone here can help you as much as possible, however, only you know the full scope of your plants and your grow set up/enviroment. All of those factors come into play in determination of the problem. Most plant life, regardless of species, are susceptible to illnes/stress/pests, etc... etc...., all of them show the same symptoms for like causes. I find that "ganja growers" often get tunnel vision and only think of the species they are growing and only go to cannabis type websites or cannabis growers. Not to discredit anyone on the site or any cannabis farmer at, because many of them REALLY know there stuff well, but alas a lot of them only know about growing cannabis indoors and not so much at all about horticulture in general, which is very necessary knowledge. If you have ever grown other plant life outside, or even indoors, apply some of that conventional wisdom. My grandmother taught me how to garden from a young age and what she showed me helps a lot. I recommend doing extensive research on websites/books intended for vegetable/flower gardeners. You will learn A LOT. Plus ppl on those sites don't just get on there and blow smoke to look cool. They know their stuff and are passionate about truly helping other gardeners. Not to mention, your average cannabis grower is probably mid to lat 30's, yes I know many are far older, but I am saying in average. Your average vegetable gardener is an old timer twice that age with twice the wisdom! I know this does not answer your question directly, but honestly you will have to figure it for yourself in the end anyway. All we posters can do is offer suggestions and point you in a direction. I hope this helps you.

All this diagnoses on very little data, just a white widow under a 600 watt HID. I am not that good so if you want a more informed opinion please provide the following.

Pics are nice but we need to know more about your grow.

Strain: White Widow Age? Height?
Medium: Soil or Hydro? Soil what's in it? What's the PH of run off? Hydro what is the PH and PPM?
Liight: 600 w HID HPS Distance from canopy? Cycle?
Temp? Humidity?
Feeding: What and How often etc...

Those would be some basic info that can help give you a more informed diagnoses.:joint:
