Anyone know why this one branch of buds is like this? Should I chop it and throw it out or will it be okay? All the others seem fineB55A601D-4246-46EF-9CD8-3B1BEF7D38F6.jpeg

Also should note that it’s been getting cold at night lately been getting down to about -1C the past few nights, not sure if that would impact it or not. First time growing and it’s outdoors so not the best at this stuff

Was gonna say cold , I chucked a stack of seeds in a flower bed where I use to chuck old soil when I use to grow in house and garden bat special one summer , thought fuck all ov it , few days later there was a dozen sprouts popped through , couple weeks later left the most sexist one out the lot and binned the rest , anyhow grew bout 7-8 foot tall and had to tie it down but started to flower then the colder nights kicked in so didn't produce real bud but shit load of trichomes, only experience of outdoor growing for me , and that wasn't even intended .

If it were frost damage it would turn black and soggy the next day. Closely check the stem Just below where this starts for holes, discoloration, or other damage. Could be borer.

Pry those ugly buds open and look at the main stem and you will see your mold. Then chop it off and dispose of it away from the rest of the plant.
No mold inside the buds but where it starts getting ugly the stem has a crack going up, would that cause that part of the plant to die?

Any pics of the crack. A crack by itself won’t kill the plant but that is a good entry point for disease, pythium, fusarium, phytophthora, alternaria. Cut the branch Below the crack. with sterile clippers and then spray the cut with peroxide. Dispose of the branch and wash your hands and clippers before going near the plant.
