Just wondering what this could be? I've been using 1tsp of grow big and 1 1\2 tsp of foxfam plant food....it's been 2 months and 2 week in veg and I just switched them to flowering yesterday...but the bud sites seems to be turning yellow with a few burt spots... could this be a cal mag issue?

Your plant looks like it's starving. Why wouldn't you follow the nutrition schedule for your nutrient line?

It's normal to have lighter colored new growth when you switch to flower...They really grow fast at this time. Are you using cal/mag? What kind of water...tap or RO? Are they in soil? Honestly they look pretty good!

I would feed them like every other watering, and use the cal mag in every watering....so if they get fed nutes once a week, they should be good!!

Why would you suggest using calmag when his plants don't appear deficient in either?
Well he did say the plants had some "spots" along with the yellowing, and he is in flower, and he has been feeding very light, so he most likely IS calcium deficient...and even if not a little extra certainly won't hurt.

But yes, more info, like what type of water and soil would perhaps help. Personally I use RO water and add cal mag to every feeding and or watering.

Gotcha. But in the blurry picture I don't see anything resembling spots. Nor do I see any signs of magnesium deficiency. The plant is however showing major signs of nitrogen deficiency. His first post stating what he was giving the plant would fully explain why the plant looks as it does.

OP I wouldn't suggest going from your limited feeding to full strength. Half strength would probably be a big increase and a great start. Good luck.

Im sorry yes I'm using FF ocean grow soil in the blue bag...and I also use regular tap water with pH between 6.6 to 7.0 and my cal mag should be here Friday....so hopefully she doesn't burn too much you until then

So good to have more info...and what twentyeight.threefive said makes perfect sense.

You were probably right to go light on the nutrients at first, as I believe the FF soil has nutes in it...But by this point where you are in flowers your plant has used up most of those nutrients and it needs a little more now. Using tap water you might not need calmag, so don't go crazy with it. I am using RO water that has no calcium or magnesium but tap water will have some...See how they react to the stronger feeding...Good luck!
