Hempy Buckets and Overwatering, Help Needed.

Hey guys. a tent full of plants that were transplanted from promix to hemp buckets. I believe that I'm expereincing overwatering issues. I've been watering till roughly 20% runoff, as I thought that the 3:1 perlite to verm ration would halt any overwtering. Well, that doesn't seem to be the case in my tent. So my question is: when growong in hempy buckets is it my goal to feed my plants and wait a requisite period for the medium to dry? I'm confused about the drying cycle aspect; the plants roots are supposed to be submeged in a reservoir of nutrient solution, correct?Am I, essentially, feeding an amount of ph stable solution that will absorbed by the plant in a short amount of time, say 2-3 days? The other day, after feeding till roughly 20-25% runoff, my pots ere still heavy 5 days later. What gives with that?

Any help for a passive hydro neb would be big, thx

Need more info. Plant size and pot size and frequency of watering. They're not supposed to be submerged. They're supposed to be watered to runoff every day. Hempy bucket is a bucket with a small drain hole(s) on the bottom side for runoff right?

Treat it like drain to waste growing, feeding every day to runoff. If you're letting your plants sit in a "Rez" with stagnant water that's your problem.

promix is not a medium to grow marijuana in hempy buckets. soil retains water/feeding and will inundate your girls. try not to drown them and read up on hempy grows, you'll be glad you did. been using hempy buckets with coco and perlite or only coco or only perlite for years with pleasing results. with coco and or perlite you will not overwater. good luck and God bless. btw maxi grow is the way to go. water/feed daily and let some liquid drain out drain hole. ph 5.8-6.2. last 2 weeks water only. read and keep growing.

I've grown plenty of hempy in straight perlite. You water to a small amount of runoff and feed every time. I never watered again until it got light. Having vermiculite in there causes all the medium to be more water retentive from top to bottom when what you really want is to have a wet bottom 2 inches so the roots go down there.
