I'm actually only running 100w CFL's. I didn't have the money to buy like $400 HPS lights or anything... plus, I didn't even know how well this was gonna go, so I didn't want to invest a ton of money on something that might blow up in my face, ya know? Granted, if things keep going well, I'm certainly going to upgrade my grow setup.

The two I put in flowering are over a foot tall so far. I know they'll keep getting bigger during flowering, not sure about "topping" yet. Gotta read a bit more to understand that.

Sounds good, topping is pretty simple. you usually just cut the top off where the new growth is coming in. That starts hormonal changes which increases growing from all the lower nodes. Usually resulting in 2 top colas inside of one also. I've seen 4 pop out from people who either knew what they were doing or were just lucky lol

So you just chop off the new leaves sprouting up at the top? Kinda like pruning a regular plant, and how that sends the energy back down through the plant for it to grow bushier, yeah?

yes yes indeed!! I cant wait to get my good strains in the mail. My white widow, snow white, northern lights, ICE, afghan, and aurora indica are on their way!

Right on... right on. I've got no idea what these are, but if this grow turns out to be successful, I'm definitely going to buy good seeds for my next grow.

I figured there's no sense in spendin' money on good seeds if I screw it up, ya know? Figured I'd just use the bag seeds I'd been collecting forever!

That's exactly my thought as well. If this goes belly up... Nothin' ventured, Nothin' gained. I'm only out the money for lights, soil and pots, which isn't that bad.

nope cause u could save those n always pick it back up later if u realyl stopped by once you've started, i dont think theres any stopping ha!
