I am trying to dial it in but it's hard because I grow a different strain each time and I am limited to the clones that the CoOp's have so it's a little difficult. over all I am very satisfied with the aero set up. Next grow I am switching to a 600W, so I am doing some research on a good digital ballast. I am leaning tward a lumatek.

Where did you get your clones...a coop in SD County? Going to continue trying different strains, but the only true winner I have found so far is Blue Dream, cause it's super kind and grows fast and enormous if you let it. I need Blue Dream again, and soon! Thanks.

lumatek digital is the best out there right now

Highly recommend the lumatek ballasts. I have 3 myself. The oldest is 3 yrs and is not dimmable. The other 2 have 4 settings, 360, 400, 600, and high output. Lumetek also came out with a bulb recently that is built to withstand the "high output". I used Eiko bulbs before and they are prone to burn out on high output. Last grow I used Hortilux bulbs, pricey bro. I get great results with my 600s. In that aero you could def pull a lb with some skill and a 600. Props for the last grow though as you yielded great for sure.

Nice job, interested to see what kind of yield you get. I do 40 plants under 1-1000w in a liquid cooled light and on a light mover, I use same baskets/foam to hold my plants in custom aeroponics boxes I built but I cut off the basket part off. aeroponics have proved rather tricky but I am starting to get dialed in and this summer will be a green one. What temps do you keep your nutrient reservoir at? Do you use RO water? add any cleaning agents like bleach or H2O2?
P.S Please give us some more root porn! Im a sick fuck and like looking at your roots. Don't judge me.

My last grow with the same exact set up only with blue dream got me 7.5 oz dry. my re temps are from 69-77. I use half RO and half tap water, and I dont add any cleaning agents.

last night I had my first water clean up, the down pipe for the pump came loose and filled the bottom of my tent with 5g of water it was a real mess but I took care of it.

On another note I have some tiny brown spots on some of my leaves, they were there on the last grow also and I don't know what is causing it can anyone help?

I am only using half RO and half tap my tap water starts at 450ppm so I cut it with RO to bring it down to 230ppm then the fox farm nutes all have trace elements. Not to say you are wrong I just thought cal-mag def wouldn't be a problem. I was doing a little research and I was thinking it was the chlorine in the tap water, I dont tlet the water sit out before I put it in the res. Anyway here are some new pics today is week 6.:joint:

lookin good santee, had a few Qs for you if you dont mind..

regarding your RH and temps.. what are they?

what kind of ventilation are you using? fans/ducts/hood-wise also you running any ac? and do you know the ambient room temp outside of your tent?

thanks

I am on my first grow ever, aeroponics, kush. 1000Watts (light mover). 4 inch cups. I waited until they were almost 24" (like 16"-24") to flower and now they are growing so tall!! I didn't expect this!! plus I trimmed incorrectly and encouraged vertical growth not width but they were already over lapping and causing trouble in that area anyway. They sit kinda close.. 5 sites in 4 ft row x a numebr of rows... Now they are falling over. Any advice to keep them standing secure?? I gotta net like yours in the pic, is it too late to put it on?? (they are bushy and I am afraid to break branches) The rocks only do so much. Also, the roots grew so long they made their way down my drain and into my reservoir! the sprays are not on timers and the girls look healthy.. should i worry about this issue?? thanks for any help.

My temps are 69 at night and up to 87 during the day
I have an air cooled hood hooked up to a 450CFM inline fan with 6" duct work
My %rH is 30-65
I run a swamp cooler in the same room as the tent wich we use to cool the house.
I'm not sure of the ambient temp in the house but the outside temps are pretty high right now in the upper 90's I also have a small ocillating fan in the tent and I just added a hepa air purifier to try to get rid of the powdery mildew.

As long as the mildew isn't running rampant it shouldn't kill the plants right?

I would go ahead and add the net just be carefull maneuvering it throught the branches.
I use fishing line to tie up or tie down braches as I see fit

I am going to build a DIY sulfer burner tomorrow, do you think it will be OK to use it in my tent in my house and will I have to cover my res to keep it out of the weater?

Here are some new pics. You will notice all of the tiny white spots as powdery mildew, I have never taken pics at night and they really stand out in the flash. I really need to build that sulfer burner, it will be OK this late in flowering right?

Hi All.
For Unique... you might also consider hanging the net just at the top of the growth, and use the soft wide green garden tape to gently secure them to it. It won't cut into the stems, and you won't have to try threading the stems through.

I'm new to this forum, but will likely get more involved! I have a double AeroFlo 60 set-up (120 sites total). It's my first time with hydro. Also with spider mites (Hate them!). I have 2 x 1000 watts on 4' light tracks. Next time I'm ditching the tracks and going with 4 lights. I'm going to experiment with 2 x 600 on one side, and 2 x 1000 on the other and see if the yield difference makes up for the PG&E difference.

Also, I'm using Humboldt Nutes Master A&B suite, and following their chart to the T. However, my older fan leaves have all gone yellow-spotty from the edges inward. ??? Res is between 70 & 75; air temp between 75 & 80; pH fluxes, of course, between 5.5 & 7 ... occasionally dipping below 5 the last day prior to the weekly water change. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

DAMN!!! I just applied some Serenade to try and curb the PW and holy shit does that shit smell my whole house smells like dirty feet. Oh yea I decided to try the serenade first before I build the burner. Hopefully this shit works.

Well the Serenade seems to have worked, usually every morning I can see new growth of PW but today I am hard pressed to find a couple of spots. I will do another application next week(by the way the smell is completely gone) I have about three weeks left before harvest, so after next week I am going to flush for the last week and then cut those babies down!
