I just built a 4ft wide x 6 ft high x 2 feet deep closet/cabinet. I have 150W HPS, 3 two week old plants. I want to use either hydroponics or Aeroponics. At the moment Im leaning towards Aeroponics ( I keep reading that theyre efficient and grow great yields). I am considering buying this sytem:http://www.discount-hydro.com/productdisp.php?pid=32&navid=4

I am also about to cut a hole to put an air conditioner in to regulate the temperature and bring in freshair.
WHat do you think?
Please give any advice or criticism possible.
Nutrients, etc.

naw its the air intaking not the air exhausting thats the problem. I think if you put an actual dehumidifier in the room instead of on intake it would be better. Or maybe the dehumidifier you have in the first place is bad and not woorking accurately. Hows the humidity before intake?

The humidity is running around 70% in the room that I'm taking air in from (another room in the basement that I could move to draw air from an upstairs bedroom)...I also have an outside air source that I just hooked up to bring fresh outside air in to cool the room a bit...just hooked it up yesterday but so far I'm not seeing a difference in humidity although room temp seems a lot better now. I'm trying to borrow another de-humidifier from someone to see if mine is working o.k. (although it is gathering water...but not a ton...have to empty it after about 3 days...it's a 17liter and it's in the room not the intake...I worded it wrong...).

Hi every one hope someone can help.i have two purple powers in my greenhouse,they have been flowering since the second week in september.so they should have about 3 weeks left,but all the hairs have gone brown but the plant is still turnig purple aswell.if i leave it does anyone think that new flowers will come out or has it finished early because the buds are still getting big and also do puple plants finish quiker.ive just put more feed in and think i shouldnt have please can someone help.

I seem to be having bad luck so far, I was tweaking a few things in my little grow closet when something fell and spilled the contents of one of my just planted seeds and crushed another cup. Anyways one untouched cup sprouted today but one of the cotyledons has an issue. It is not opening up/unfolding and the top side of it (bottom when it unfolds) is deep purple. The underside (top once it unfolds) is green and healthy looking. The other cotyledon is very healthy looking, deep green and kind of fat still but elongating nicely. I am not sure when it broke ground, sometime overnight so 8-14 hrs ago.

This sprout sound like it gonna be alright? If not I'm 0/4 seeds this go around but I still got hope for the other uncrushed one.

Hey m8...

I have a wierd strain white widow, purple haze mix and it´s stretching like a lunatic.

I have a 125w red envirolite and two 32w cfls for flowering. The buds are coming out nicely but the plant is just heading for the stars. Should I take out the cfl´s and just use the red 125. I also have a 125w blue enviro, should I put that in instead?

Maybe the plant is just a retard and I should keep it up because it seems it´s going to give a decent yield.

I had an overwater/overnute problem but thats coming along alright.

yo mate. im in the 10th week of flowering. i have 5 afghan cross and 6 killawatts monsters going. my afghan cross leaves are very very dry and dying. but they have sum juicey sticky buds on em.

please can u help me with info to how this has happened. im baffled

I know hydro guru but i think that would work well. My only concern is you attaching an ac unit to a closet. Thats a bit extreme

So i have a limited amount of money, and i am trying to figure out which would be the best when it comes to the yield and the speed of the grow from beginning to end:hydroponics or Co2? i know that using both together would be the best, but if i can only afford one which route should i go?

ahh my thing is if its 70 before and your pulling it into a room thats has water which builds humidity your going to have high humidy and since it passes in and out so quick it doesnt have a chance to de humidify. You need to
a. humidify your air source
b.get a better and quicker dehumidifier

The best way to judge if the plant is ready is checking the trichs and harvesting by them. If you leave it up too long you can have a real heavy narcotic effect and a chance off seeing naners

when i flush my plants how long to i wait to fertilize them. also im using 4 26w cfl 6500 k for one feminized super skunk. and 315 w multi spectrum light bank also cfl. for 4 lowryders any thoughts my lowryders are doing awesome with the multi spectrum if i knew how to post npics i would all i have is a picture phone.

ok people , i understand co2 cant grow plants alone. I have the rest of the set-up, just trying to figure out if i should go with a soil-co2 grow, or a hydroponic grow

ok you said to ask for help so here it goes.my seedlings are under a 90w ufo,all is good but im pretty sure i have a ph issue.it almost looks like my leafs got burnt but when i was googling trying to find a pic of my problem and hopefully a solution,i was able to find a pic of a young plant with a ph problem.....and bingo was his name o.my question is this.how can i correct the issue when my plants are so young?once i can fertilize them my nutes produce a perfect ph,but i dont want to shock them and they are only a little over a week old and just getting their first true three finger leaves.is it too early to fertilize them?if so with out using ph up or down is their a easy way to do adjust the ph?ive heard of lime and all that jazz.my issue with that is you have to mix it in with your soil and im growing in containers and am not able to mix my soil up at this point.next question,i have an adult bearded dragon in my room with my grow closet.he eats frut and other things that attract fruit flies in the room.the day i started my garden i saw a few in the closet and the have not went away since.they crawl around on my cups and on the top soil.i havnt noticed any larve in the soil so i dont think they are soil gnats.just annoying fruit flies the kind that fly out of your garbage when the can gets bumped.i need a remedy preferably free and organic.chilli tea something like that.is their anything that you guys could recommend.also i want to start a breeding program in a pc grow box or a homemade polyethelyne tent,and maybe a cloner in another using cfls.any recommendations on how to accomplish this with out light leaks as they would have to chill in my closet that i will be budding in

indoorsavant i had the same problem with the bugs all i did is stir the soil they flew out and i squashed them it took a good while there tricky and quick lol its the free way you were looking for but it works

You think so. Even if the fan power is turned down. What do you suggest then to have circulation. Just a fan? ANy other ideas or suggestions.

If I want to go from seed to full plant. Hydro, aero or bubble?
