i bought some White Widow, cracked the seeds after 2 days, put them in rock wool, didn't put them under light for 2 days, they were fine, then the next day (already 1 1/2") they were laying on their side - dead???
ANy ideas why this happened? i have 3 seeds left and don't want to make the same mistake - how do you start from seed???
Thanks Bro

You still fielding these questions? maybe by pm or something?
Anyway, one book I have recommends a soil ph 0f 6.4 and the other recommends 6.75. I can find research to support both, though it seems more nutrients are available at 6.75ph veteran growers tell me 6.4ph... what gives?

I just received a full two foot plant today. I was expecting four clones. Now, I'm fine with this, saves me some time. But the only thing is the guy i got it from is growing hydro and I had set up for soil. It had a good size ball root, and i just held the plant up in the pot while my friend gently poured our soil around them to fill the pot. Will she be ok from this change? She had some burn on a few leave tips, but it just looks like some excess nutrients. I trimmed off a couple dead spots with clean scissors, and watered with two cups of water. I only had a one gallon pot available, but in two days i will move her to a three gallon pot. Think she'll make it? it's 75% indica if it makes a differance

You want to use blue spectrum in vegetative and red spectrum in flowering. The high (6000ish) k ratings are blue spectrum, and the low (2500ish) are red spectrum. Don't use any bulbs between 3500k and 4000k, your plant(s) will not grow

I dont know If I would move into a 3 gallon pot within 2 days you dont want to shock the shit out of it. I think you want to see new growth before you change pots again. Someone else might be able to get a better answer though.

Thanks for the advice, she was drooping a lot when i got her home, but she's sucking up more water than i can keep up with, every 12 hours now the soil is bone dry. I added a little honey to the water and sprayed the leaves with some pH balanced water and she is springing right back to life :weed:

whats the fastest and best way to grow four plants under 12-16 bulbs max. so 3 or 4 for each plant. all 23 watt = to 100 watt cfl 6500 k for veg and 2700 for flower in a 4 foot tall by 2 foot deep by 3 foot wide closet that runs about 85 degrees 40% humidity on 24 hour light. they are 9 days old and when they get to be 2 weeks i plan to switch to 12/12 or maybe 18/6 and than 12/12 at 4 weeks....is there anything you would sujest i should do or change to maximise my yield and potency or bombness lol... the seeds were from some low end grapefruite kush and there about 2 inches or so tall with the 2nd node n big leaves with the lights an inch away in miracle grow indoor potting soil???any feedback would be greatly appreciated in a noob at indoor

My nutrients are very acidic all of a sudden, around 3.5ish ph. I mixed them in RO water and then dumped quite a bit of base to bring it up to 6.5. They got under a light for a while (days). Are they fucked or okay as long s the ph is balanced out?

Hey Man...
I know this is an old post but maybe you can help?
I am a first time grower from bagseed. I screwed up in not knowing about the whole male/female thing and let my males grow and pollinate the females. I just pulled the males about 2 weeks ago but the females are flowering ang definitley have seeds now. Is there anyway for me to get rid of the seeds or at least stop the seed production process? I have about 5 six footers and hate that they are going to be all full of seeds.

Hey I've got a cabinet that's 2' W x 2'd x 4' tall. Then I cut a hole in the top for a 250w HPS and the cabinets heat is in the 90s. I've got two smallish sized fans(they move quite a bit of air though) one at the bottom for intake and one at the top for exhaust and a medium sized fan blowing on the outside of the reflector/ballast(it's an enclosed ballast). Do I need another one to blow directly on the bulb or just a bigger exhaust fan? I'm completely stumped, I've tried all different sorts of things.

Also, what's ideal temperatures for a cabinet my size with a 250 watt? Would my plants be able to take 85-90 degrees their whole life or is that too high?

Hello,
I'm new to the site an to growing so I thought maybe you could help me with a question I had. I recently went to a local greenhouse shop and much to my dismay they didn't really have much there as far as nutes and fertilizers. I ended up walking out with Espoma Quick Solution Urea 45-0-0. I'm currently growing in a soil medium I made using peat moss, perlite, and vermiculite. My babies are about 3 weeks old and the 1st round leaves have browned an begun to fall off. Is this product OK to use? I've used an extremely small amount the other day (about 1/2 Tsp diluted in 2 liters of water) and haven't seen any adverse effects as of yet. I'm kinda on a shoe string budget so at this point expensive nutes are kinda out of the question at least for a few more weeks. Do you have any recommendations for cheap but good nutes?
