I have a question if you can help?
My plants leafs are starting to yellow in the center of the newly grown leafs. I noticed it today.
also today was watering day, so could it just be that the plant needed water?
Im not sure whats going on?
thanks for taking the time to read.
1love.

Maybe this is a stupid question, since I've never seen it asked... But are there any clever ideas regarding stealthy disposal of males? I'm at a loss for good ideas. I appreciate the help, and thanks in advance!

Hey neighbor,
Will a 4' cfl with four 32-40w bulbs be sufficient to vegetate a dozen clones? If so, can you suggest the proper bulbs to buy? Thx.

Hey neighbor,
Been thru about 2 dozen of your Q&A pages, haven't found the answer I'm looking for. Here's the idea. I'll be veging 10 plants in a closet under 400w hps. Once big enough I'll be cloning 20.
I plan to vedge the 20 youngsters just outside the closet but within reach of the 400w. When I cut down the 18 vedging cycle for the closet mothers, and set the light to 12 hours to flower them, the clones will will still need add'l light to keep them vegetating.
Of course, that idea won't be worth ca-ca unless I can provide add'l hours of light to the clones to give them an 18 hr day. Here's the deal. After 12 hours of HPS it shuts off for the flowering plants. I then drop a full black plastic curtain to keep them in the dark. At the same time my clones are just outside the closet looking for more light.
And when the HPS shuts off I have a timer turn on a CFL fixture just for the clones to run for 6 more hours. It's a pain in the butt to raise and lower the curtain every day, but I'm space limited.
Given that scenario, here's the question -- If I give this idea a try, will my clones thrive, (all else being equal) with 12 hrs of 400w HPS, followed by 6 hours of a 4 bulb (160w) 4' fixture. You probably haven't tried it yourself, but give it your best guess. THX

beerazz...when you put the seed in the soil you can begin your light regiment 18/6 20/4 or whatever you feel best. give it a decent watering and leave it under the light regiment and you should see it pop up within a few days..or sooner/later. only give it water when it needs it...usually when about the first 1/2 - 1 top inch of soil is dry.
and godhand...you can expect your plants to usually double size from beginning of flowering to the end of flowering...depending on the lighting and other conditions tho. hope that helped at least a little.

Hi. I'm a newbie on the early stages of my first grow. I have a couple of problems and I'm looking for some info. I hope someone can help.

I'm using Foxfarm Ocean Forrest Potting soil (1/3 perlite & 2/3 soil) and I mixed in 2 tablespoons of blood meal (12-0-0) and 2 tablespoons of bone meal (0-10-0) into each 5 gallon pot. I'm using a 400w MH hung 30" above the top of the pots.

The first pic is the plant with the most pressing problem. I got her as a clone in a cube and planted her on Sunday. The soil was already wet (5 on a 1 - 10 meter) so I didn't water her on Sunday. Monday morning she was drooping a little and the water meter read 3.5 (dry), so I gave her a cup of water. Tues she was a bit more droopy and the water meter once again read 3.5, so I gave her another cup of water. This morning she looked like the pic and the meter again read 3.5. I also propped up her leaves so they'd get more light. One of her leaves started getting dry & crunchy about 5 hours ago. There's no noticable discoloration & the meter is currently reading 2. (when measuring water level I'm putting the probe in the dirt next to the cube about current root level. I can't get a reading of the cube with the probe). Logic says she's overwatered, the meter suggests she may be underwatered. Since droopy leaves are a sign of both I don't know what to think. Is dry crunchy leaves also a sign for both, or just one or the other?

The second problem is less pressing. The last 3 pics are of a plant that I bought as a clone & planted 12 days ago. She was in dirt, no cube. The camera I got sucks so you probably cant see it well, but 2 of the leaves are a very light green, kind of a light lime color. In this thread https://www.rollitup.org/marijuana-plant-problems/157345-have-plant-problem-check-here.html it most closely resembles the 9th pic from the top (Nitrate-Ammonium). First question, is Nitrate-Ammonium another way of saying Nitrogen? And when reading the rating of fertilizer (12-0-0) nitrogen is the first number, right? And the final question, at 12 days old (from rooted clone transplant), with all the nutes in the soil plus what I added, is there anyway she needs nutes already?

Hello there, howdy, thanks for this thread. I am hoping to start a sea of green grow soon from clones in a 6'x6' room with a 1000watt hps. I have looked absolutely everywhere but can't seem to find out which system ( my options are; DWC, Ebb and Flow or just ordinary adding nutrient water to a perlite/vermiculite/peatmoss) system would work best to give me the fastest, highest yielding, perpetual harvest. Thank you so much in advance.

Also if it helps I use General hydro Nutrients and have been doing simple perl/verm/peat grows in the past with medium results.

So here it is guys these pics are a week old, 1st week of flower, oh and of course my puppy he is 7 1/2 months old and 71 lbs

Notice the gallon of water in between the Jack for size comparison

I will post soon but I have to save my pics because I only have 359 left...lol
