I am trying to learn before i start my first grow. Is it really bad if it has seeds? Can you use the seeds to grow new batches?

It isn.t *really bad*... you can still get some good smoke out of it, but will spend some time picking out seeds. Not the end of the world, but if you have other plants your usually better off to remove any males or hermies.

Oh, and yeah spend some time learning before you start. These forums are full of great info, as well as the faq. It makes life a lot easier if you read up and and plan well for your grows :D

yes dont just jump in and start to grow, i did and it took about six months learning. how to grow. i wish id have read up on growing. before i started, cos at first i was over feeding 4 plants, that were all hermie, didnt know what p.h. was or anything, even feeding the wrong food, cos when i ordered my first food, i was growing in soil and i ordered hydro food, what is well stronger.
so at first i was growing 4 hermies, feeding hydro food, every day, even spraying them with it. and giving them tap water, every day too., well untill i found this site. i wish id have read up on growing before i started, to grow.
ive been growing 9 months now, and are just getting the hang of it, but still have problems. its not as easy as it looks.
read up, before you grow.

I read for a good 6+ months before I started, but that was mostly because I didn't have the space to start my room then. I'm glad it worked that way though. Ya defenitly learn by doing too, but having that little chunck of knowledge before diving in saves tons of time wasted on stupid mistakes and setbacks I'm sure

you have to fermintize the seeds to make them female
Haha, are you high? This doesn't really make sense. He asked if the hermi seeds can grow new batches, which I still haven't seen a straight forward answer on here about. Some people say the seeds don't give any females because they have those hermi genes, so if the plant were to be a female, any sort of little stress would turn it hermi. I personally don't know, and would like to because I have a nice WW hermi flowering in my basement.

I just harvested a hermi, the smaller buds are almost totally seeds, but the huge main cola and the larger colas are a pretty good percentage of down right great smoke. My personal opinion, pop as many seeds out of the runts and throw them into your hash mix, keep the top 60 percentile of the colas, and learn from your mistakes. I think my hermi was a result of transplant shock (twice), nute burn, and overwatering. Keep a log, you will notice trends also. Hope this helped.

Isn't that what the album covers were for? We always sifted seeds and stems out and smoked the rest. LoL Wow, I'm old. =(
