Hermie havoc!!

Would like yet ANOTHER opinion from "those that may know" - once again i think i have a second hermie developing. I got these seeds from a friend who "claims" to have purchased them online...so i can't give you a history...seems i'm getting about 75% girls if this is a hermaphrodite plant in photos (there were 10 seeds total). All of them were slow starters to begin with because they're all smaller than the other batch (seeds I purchased myself) in my second room. Would love for someone to tell me it's not my methods that's causing this to happen, because my other group of girls seem to be doing well (see additional photos - 3rd wk into 12-12)....SO...is this bugger what i suspect...?Photo01102053_1.jpgPhoto01102053_2.jpgPhoto01102054.jpgPhoto01102055_1.jpg

Here's my "Girl's Room" pics...i think they look pretty good :-P

yep, male flowers on the side :(

remove em and keep a eye on it or if you have many other plants put a plastic bag over it, remove it and throw it out, dont want to ruin a lot of bud do to one plant, atleast it seems like you did spot it in time, keep a close eye on the rest as well

You can't always control this. If you do real good it may only make a few nanners (but a lot of seeds anyway). If you are lucky it will be sterile and not make seeds. Shrug it off.

thanks for input! as i said this is the second one i've encountered, don't know much about the strain as it came from someone else....since it's in a seperate grow room i'll probably treat it like the other one...since it is flowering i'll pull them nuts off and see what nature does!

i have 9 plants and the buds feel as thoe there is seed in them there 3 weeks in flower they dont look like these but i cant fnd any answers hope my friend on RUI can help many thanks

Yup looks hermie to me too. My feminized ChemDog turned hermie about week 4 into flower but it wasn't too bad. Everyday for a week I went in with a pair of tweezers and plucking the male bulbs off, took about 15 mins each day. Afterwards I just kept an eye on it. Successfully harvested but I did get a few seeds but the bud was still really good.

In comparison, I've bought a bag of weed that had more seeds in it then what I got of my entire hermie plant.

Cheers,

if its feminized seeds you shouldn't be quick to blame yourself cause its there in the genetics. some strains are more hermie prone than others, such as the notorious blueberry

no problem but make sure you have no light leaks and there's not a large temperature fluctuation from light on and light off. and they can herm from being stressed. lights too close too hot too cold ect. but it could be genetic like i said just ditch it and start over and better luck with the next batch

Good breeders will still produce seeds that herm. But if you're getting entire batches that are doing this, it's totally a case of bad genetics created by some pollen chucker. It's such a drag to get this far and see this shit, eh?

Not true. Hermies can make excellent herb and according to science... "Seeds of the plant cannabis sativa, hemp seed, contain all the essential amino acids and essential fatty acids necessary to maintain healthy human life. No other single plant source has the essential amino acids in such an easily digestible form, nor has the essential fatty acids in as perfect a ratio to meet human nutritional needs." http://www.ratical.org/renewables/hempseed1.html

That is bullshit. Properly made feminized seeds are just as likely to "hermie" or show male flowers as their parents were.
"the notorious blueberry"?

What? Blueberry is a old and very stable variety. If you have blueberry that "hermied" then it was your fault.

Most people that get "herms" get them as a result of stress, not genetics.

You pretty much just agreed with BT after calling bs.
Obviously you are not a golfer.

BT is implying that feminized seeds have some sort of "hermie" in them. It is wrong and bullshit.

If you make seeds from a plant that is likely to "hermie" due to environmental condition, the seeds will have the same likelihood of "hermieing" as the parents.
