hermie question

If you have light leaking in during flowering, that will cause your girls to go hermie... if there aren't too many pollen sacs you can just pick them off before they open up. but with you perpetual grow, i wouldn't want to risk the pollenation.

FUUUUCK, this is going to be a bitch, I have 9 girls that are three weeks from harvest, then 9, about five weeks into flowering, then 12 that just went in today. So I need to take em all out, clean out the closet, Clean it how? Should I put the girls in the shower to rinse them all down? I dont have any light leaking at all.

so anyhelp? When does the pollen start coming out of the seeded bud? I noticed there are four girls that are beginning to get a few seeds, when do they begin giving off pollen? So I know when to take em out. I do not want my new girls to get any seeds at all. Please help

Pollen does not come out of seeded bud. Male plants and hermies have pollen. Females receive the pollen and make seeds in their buds.

I had a hermie in the room about three weeks ago, it made some of the bud seeded. I took it out of the room and killed it. So it made some of the girls seeded, I took those out too. NOw I am seeing a few seeded buds on some of my oldest girls in the room, are those hermie or seeded bud? Should I take those out of the room, will they produce pollen?

so if a single hermie changes a room of plants to seeded bud, can that seeded bud make the other 100% female plants new to the room have seeds as well ? Even if the original hermie has been removed months ago

To figure out if they're hermie then you have to find the male parts. Seed sacs don't necesarilly mean anything because a lot of time females have empty seed sacs from not being pollinated..

If there are seeds then you either have a male or a hermie somewhere. The plant that has the seeds could be hermie or any other plant could be hermie. All you need is one male part on any of the plants and it could potentially pollinate all your females. It is not a big deal if your females get pollinated but it could reduce yield and potency slightly because they will use energy making seeds instead of creating THC, if you still have unpollinated females then your best bet is to search all your plants and cut off all pollen sacs that you find. Good luck..

Probably just repeating the answer again... BUT

Males have balls

Females have Bud (like an egg ready to be fertilized)

A Hermie HUMAN is a man/woman, meaning they have both sexual organs, but usually not functional as humans are very complex and NOT a plant.

In the case of a pot plant a HERMIE doesn't only have both sex organs, but both sex organs FUNCTION! meaning a SINGLE plant can reproduce on its own.

The reason it occurs IS stress. Many things can stress the plants I'll list em in the jumble of writing below....
Plant and animals... Guess that means everything in the world actually... has INSTINCT in this case its the instinct/will to SURVIVE. If the plant gets stressed by temperature, lighting, physical damage, etc. The plant feels the need to reproduce QUICKER, so instead of waiting for a male it grows its very own BALLS and pollinates itself!!! (and alll other females surround etc.)

This happened to me. TOO my plants I should say.... It was late season the weather turned cold and the plant got desperate (ph of soil was out, no nutes were given, water was scarce, and it was very cold some mornings).

shit I am just going to take the seeded bud out. I have 9 plants that are just beginning to bud, and another 12 that just went in two days ago. I think I should just take out the seeded bud to avoid any more seeded bud

Females (even seeded females) cannot pollinate other females because they have no pollen. A male human has sperm... and a male cannabis plant has pollen. A female human has eggs... and a female cannabis plant has flowers/buds. Can a female human get another female pregnant (even if THEY are pregnant)? No, they can't. Its the same for cannabis.

HELP ok so I got a question. If I have a full garden from clone so I know they were girls. Then I brought in a mystery strain like a dumb ass, it ended up being a hermi, I noticed too late, it caused about then plants around it to have seeds on it, it was good bud, but seeded. Was this because of the hermi? And if so are those seeds a cross of my female (carnival from ministry of cannabis) and the mystery strain?
