Hermie Takeover?

Harvested a plant a week ago and while cutting to put in a jar I noticed little pods on my buds and sure enough their was seed. All my plants came from feminized seeds but I know stress can cause Hermie and this being my first grow I know that was a factor due to a recently fixed light leak. So I'm on a quest to rid these Hermie pods and try to save my girls from being pregnant whores. I've heard plucking the pods will help and maybe even stop the spread. I have 9 plants and I checked em this morning for what they call nanners or bananas and I didn't see any but I found these pods with pistils shooting thru them. I plucked one and opened it away from my grow room but nothing was inside. Could it have already released the pollen? If they are Hermie's its for personal use anyways so seed or no seed it shall get smoked. I've attached some pics for suggestions? Hermie? Or just new growth? Sorry they are kinda blurry my focus hasn't been working the last week or so.

those are just calyxes..
Yup,

You need to begin a search and destroy mission for the so-called dread bananas.
They look like tiny little bananas, you can spot them by searching the buds on your suspect hermie plants... they just stick out from in between your calyxes...if you find any, dig them out by pinching them off of the bud
The key is to destroy/remove them before they release viable pollen.
Requires patience.
I like to use a magnifying glass.

Well I'm glad what I found wasn't them a little ease of mind but I still know the spread of it still has to be in there.

Hermies get a lot of negative attention but there are some advantages to having a hermie pollinate your garden. There are factors that should be assessed to see if it is worth it or not like, the strain that turned hermie, how late in flower it turned hermie, was the hermie condition caused by stress or did it appear out of the blue per say? Ie: If you have a nice diesal that goes hermies on you as a result of taking it past peak maturity and pollinates a nearby cheese, you now have- A. A hermie that turned hermie well past it's flowering time of say 8-10 weeks so if any hermies genes are passed they would be in favor of producing a hermie condition past your peak harvest window which would be irrelevant to grows for bud harvest. B. Now you also have hybrid seeds that will grow as much as 25% faster then it's parents (hybrid vigor). C. Your seeds will be feminized or as close to feminized as possible given the minute presence of male genes in nearly all strains (hence the fear of the hermie condition in the first place). So, if your on a budget, sometimes it's worth it to make a few crosses your first few times around to get a nice seed stock going even it it means turning a plant hermie - on accident or on purpose. Look for a plant that has a heavy concentration of seeds per bud. This is a solid indication that a banana formed on that same bud, burst and then pollinated itself. These seeds are not necessarily bad and there are still breeders who implement selfing so keep that in mind. Good luck :peace:
