Hermies

Hello everyone. Im doing my first grow of the dinafem sweet deep grapefruit and theire now very close to harvesting. My question basically comes down to how to identify hermaphrodites. Unfortunately, during the christmas break, I had to leave the plants in 2 weeks of darkness (was really no other option in my situation) which obviously cause a lot of stress to the plants though considering the situation they handled it pretty well. You can check out this post if you wanna know more about it:

Some plants seem to be producing tons of trichomes and their pistols are turning nice and brown, while a couple of them have maybe 70 % brown pistols but not much trichomes, what is happening there? And most of the leaves of those have turned yellow and dry, even the sugar leaves.

Can hermies have anything to do with this? If so how can I identify them?

Im not too familiar with the anatomy of the plant - is this normal?

Having a little bit of trouble getting a good look at the trichomes through a 40x scope. Still looking too clear to me ..

Cheers!

Hi. Two weeks if complete darkness is brutal but to be honest, you look ok. Those balls are not nuts in my opinion. I have them on mine. I get them on most occasions that I grow. Keep an eye on them though but see it through to the end. Good luck

No there not balls and by the trichomes I think you should wait a week or 2 till you harvest them. Get them on a regular lighting schedule and you should be fine.

Thats pretty damn cool, i woulda guessed they'd all have some type of problem, cannibalization due to lack of food, straight dead plants, herms something.

definitely a result worth knowing, there are times when we have to deal with other issues than growing
