Fdd is correct, in that, your man hours would be better spent in growing larger plants with far greater yield per container. If you have help to move all these plants throughout the day why do you have to do all of the trimming alone? Hmmm?
Rain is not as damaging to trichomes as you fallaciously claim, the true threat to buds from rain is mold....wind has caused more problems for me than rain overall.
I move all of my container plants indoors for the 12 hours of darkness, I grow from twenty to thirty plants in containers each summer, in addition to these, I grow about 25 to 40 non cannabis plants in containers as well. I move them all around all day to get as much direct sunlight as possible because there is not a single location on my property that gets all day direct sunlight.
And I put from 15 to 30 cannabis plants in the ground each season as well....the inground plants yield from 2 to 3 pounds per plant.
My container plants yield from 8 ounces to almost a pound...I never use larger than 3 gallon containers, because anything larger is just too damn heavy to move easily throughout the day
I have been growing buds for about forty years and I would never think to use anything less than a 400W light indoors...250 and cfls for a grow(from a self designated commercial grower?).

who dosent want to grow big plants with big fat buds. not everyone can, people keep there plants smaller to keep grows hidden. larger plants put off a much greater heat signature that is very marijuana specific

Whatever works is very cool for each individual grower...but overt bragging is not desirable...IMO!
I am blessed with rich, fertile, loamy soil in my area....so I simply put them in the ground in my plots and let Mother Nature do her thing....they get from 10 to 12 feet tall drooping with buds.
A few years back I grew a true whopper SK#1X Burmese that got to over 14 feet...yikes...even with some loss to mold I still harvested just shy of 4 lbs of nicely trimmed dry buds...that is the biggest plant I ever grew!
