Hey everyone I am making bamboo bongs and am looking for a safe (non toxic), sealant

Hey everyone I am making bamboo bongs and am looking for a safe (non toxic), sealant that will be good to smoke out of after coating the entire bamboo(inside and out). I have researched a little and found that acrylic and silicone could be good for sealing the bamboo but I am not sure if it would be safe to smoke out of. I know some have used certain waxes to seal their bamboo bongs but I am not sure if this would be a good solution for the long term seeing that it may break up eventually.


Some brands that I have seen that may be good for a non toxic sealant are "JB Weld" and "All Sheilds"

P.S. I am new to this forum site and am not sure if there is a better place to post this question. I figured a lot of people in here have experimented with making other types of pieces other than glass. Any help or info is greatly appreciated!

Go get a can of shellac it's also sold as salad bowl finish its non toxic and provides a nice finish
