Hey sex was part of the deal

A jury in Bexar County, Texas just acquitted Ezekiel Gilbert of charges that he murdered a 23-year-old Craigslist escort—agreeing that because he was attempting to retrieve the $150 he'd paid to Frago, who wouldn't have sex with him, his actions were justified.
Gilbert had admitted to shooting Lenora Ivie Frago in the neck on Christmas Eve 2009, when she accepted $150 from Gilbert and left his home without having sex with him. Frago, who was paralyzed by the shooting, died several months later.
Gilbert's defense argued that the shooting wasn't meant to kill, and that Gilbert's actions were justified, because he believed that sex was included as part of the fee. Texas law allows people "to use deadly force to recover property during a nighttime theft."
The 30-year-old hugged his defense attorneys after the "not guilty" verdict was read by the judge. If convicted, he could have faced life in prison. He thanked God, his lawyers, and the jury for being able to "see what wasn't the truth."

I wonder if a woman doesn't put out after dinner and a movie if you can do the same?

"Texas has a law that allows people to use deadly force in recovering property during theft-This law is to blame for the death of the woman and the freedom of the shooter. You might find it disgusting, but since the law was already on the books you can't really argue with this fact"
This law just seems way too much like "shot while trying to escape."

The law is probably on the books, for cattle in older times where someone could steel your cattle/animals at night. Seems a bit off today, prosecutors failed pretty hard on this one.

This is from May 1, 2013. It seems that killing of horses and cattle hasn't stopped. I'd shoot someone for coming on my property and shooting or stealing my animals. No pics since they are pretty nasty~

NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE (WSVN) -- Police and a horse owner are trying to figure out who slaughtered a mare on a ranch in Northwest Miami-Dade.
Horse owner Raquel Torres believes at least one person, maybe two, led the female horse, named Destiny, out of its stall Tuesday night, chained the animal to the back of the barn, off Northwest 137th Avenue, slaughtered it and took its meat.
The family has been left heartbroken and looking for answers. "What people don't understand is that we have had this horse for seven years. Seven years for some people is nothing, but to us it's a lifetime," said Torres. "This is just not an animal. This is a family member. Everybody would ride her, bathe her, brush her and everything else like that."
Torres said her nephew discovered the slaughtered horse on Wednesday morning when he went outside to do his usual morning chores. "When he came up to her, and he saw this, he started screaming," she said.
Richard Couto with the Animal Recovery Mission is fighting to prevent stories like Destiny's. "Anyone who breaks into a property in the middle of the night and butchers a pet horse alive, is no one that I want as a neighbor," said Couto.
Couto said the slaughtering of horses is a common crime across the state of Florida with most cases ending without an arrest.
According to Couto, in South Florida, between Miami-Dade County and Broward County, more then 50 cases have been opened up in the last year. "They usually butcher alive and they start harvesting the meat while the animal is still breathing," said Couto.
Destiny's 3-year-old offspring, named Lucero, was several feet away when his mother was killed.
The family remember Destiny as an active, playful horse. "There is no reason to kill a horse for horse meat," said Torres.
No arrests has been made in this case. If you have any information on this horse slaughter, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.
