so your saying he chunks pollen and it aint shit homie slap your self man or let me do it some genetics that come from them are fucken bomb.... hear put your face to the computer so i can slap you with my dick...!!!! your jelous.. your telling me it doesnt move man let me fuck you up and let me run all the other strains that dont move...

Except that rare D doesn't force plants to herm and hit every OG with the hermie pollen like swerve does. How many female clone only multi hybrids does Cali connection have? Scott doesn't believe in feminized breeding. The males he uses to hit plants with are from original genetics obtained by him or good males from other breeders work crossed to something elite. Feminized seeds are garbage, especially from such hermie prone strains.

And what you say is false, not a single RD strain uses OG pollen. The OG is always the mom. Stop spreading misinformation.
What is rare dankness #1?
Its a hybrid of og bx and chem pollen right? So it is a og male isn't it?

RD#1 male is Ghost OG x Chem (pollen gifted by a local friend) BX'd to Ghost Og then a Male was used to X2 to the TK cut. There is also a RD#2, RD#3 males as well that further bx the to each of the orig 2 moms. The RD#1 male brings a shit ton of resin adn Chem growth with a nice splash of the OG flavor and smell everyone wants. the #2/3 just intensify it. GhostOG x Ghost OG x TK x TK x Chem for those keepin score...

From a male worked along an OG line, not just the Tahoe or ghost or fire cut hit with a CS solution and S1s released like Cali connection does. Having a male used in the line gives it stability and allows for some genetic variation. All of the RDs used in the OG crosses are males, not just OG hermie pollen. The fact that Scott will break that down and tell you his process and what makes up is parent stock proves my point. It takes time to get from the original parents to the RD#1. It takes 4 months to hit some plants with Hermie pollen, harvest the seeds, package them and send them to attitude.

Okay but u make it seem like cc just sells fem seeds.. He has been selling reg seeds for 4years already and is known for having the best og's.
the cc just started making fem seeds. The dad he uses is already a ibl stage. In fact many breeders use his strains for breeding;)

Well bottom line, you represent a breeder. When you come on a site and start slinging shit at other breeders, its going to do nothing but reflect on the breeder you represent.

Basically especially when said breeder already represented himself like a ass!

Ok, so you have a lot of strains, a whole lot. I don't see how anyone could develop that many, at least with proper testing. If you take 2 pure strains an make F1's that fairly easy. The next generation you should start looking with about 300 seed, actually more. F3 you should start with 700. So do you test every plant? Not weight them but dry cure and smoke them, test for tolerance build up and such? I smoke a lot, a whole lot but I don't feel I can test more than a few strains at a time (over the course of a few weeks) and it would take even more time to sort phenos. I'm not calling you a pollen chucker but I do have a hard time believing that all of you strains have been tested correctly. Not trying to pick shit, but Shantibaba has been at this 20-30 years and does not have the list of strains you do. DJ short has also been working on his lines for just as long and only has about 5 or so but he smokes all possible examples (as should all breeders). Please tell us how you do it! (the sorting and testing) Thanks.

For the record, I am not Scott, I am not a breeder. I cannot answer all questions about his exact breeding process. But I will say this, just because rare dankness is just popping up, doesn't mean the strains are untested or the breeding it shotty. He has been breeding for over 10 years. I don't think it is unreasonable to have so many strains available after such a long time breeding in a semi-legal, and now a legal environment. I think a lot of breeders focus on just a few strains due to the clandestine nature of most breeding operations. Companies that operate in legal areas always seem to have a large selection of genetics.

As for swerve, I didn't come here to bash him. I came here originally to point out that he's breeding in Europe and has shops in Amsterdam. I have never grown his strains, but I have smoked them, and I just have not seen anything that has impressed me. I know there has to be fire somewhere in his seeds, cause the moms used are all elites. I just haven't seen the fire, and have heard more negative about growing his seeds than positive.

Well swerve has fire and like I said he just started making fem seeds..

Plenty of breeders use his stock to make seeds so that's got to say something.

maybe yure weed come from a novice grower.

Yet none of those breeders have the "higher then normal" level of hermies or any of the other issues that seem to plague CC wherever they're grown.
Well I had 1 issue with sour og I was sorted and problem was fixed. I don't know about anything else other than its fire. I've grown every strain except for the alien crosses and I've been pretty happy with the fire I get!

True enough, but it takes four months to grow ANY crop, or make **ANY** seeds, even crappy ones that result from open pollenizations in badly-managed grow rooms.

Again, simply making one cross from someone else's lines then selling the result as something unique is the very definition of a "pollen chucker".

Not that by itself there is anything wrong with simply crossing plants to get F1 seeds. All true breeding has to start there, and as you know, with the right parents, you can get absolutely outstanding plants that way.

But just doing that doesn't make you a breeder!

It takes two YEARS to do enough crosses to create a truly unique and (at least mostly) stable line, and I think that's where you're going to start to separate the children from the adults, so to speak.

good point. karma, jimmy and a host of others uses his sfv male in their crosses. not to mention they are making some killer x's with it, it's well documented and not hard to find unlike others.

badkarma also makes a good point, none of the other breeders stock doesn't herm out nowhere near as much as cc beans. kind of leads to what everyone is basically saying. don't get me wrong dude got some shit, his chemvalleykush was awesome, but still doesn't take away from the fact that a lot of his stock has yet to be proven stable.

I feel like the seed market is flooded with "elite seeds" when most of these elite strains can be found easily in clone form if you know enough people. Making your name in the seed industry is allot harder then it used to be. Now i feel its all about the new thing and who can get it into seed form the fastest, dna released their "headband" before most people had it on the market, but it wasnt, and is not real headband.

When it comes down to it, its just marketing and business at its finest. who really cares what the real this or that is, if you want the real this or that, go find a guy who's been growing this or that for 10-15 years or whatever and you know you have the real deal holy field.

I once found a guy claiming to be the original breeder or blueberry, he said dj short took his plant and fucked it up because its supposed to be sativa dominant and his is sativa dom. He now calls it somethin else and claims it has a 45 day edit: flowering period that hes been working on since the 70's. weather or not any of this is true i have no idea, i once met a dude claiming to be the breeder of Jamaican pearl.

If hes based in the uk dea cant touch him, he dosn't grow anything in the states, he produces cannabis seeds for souvenir's duh.

Look at arjan from greenhouse, dude puts his face on fuckin everything its marketing.

Also i have no idea why but og kush is super hot right now like its always been, anything crossed with og will sell seeds. right now i got super sour og and i didnt even really want to grow it again that bad, theres just so many og crosses its ridiculous.

Yeah, maybe if you live in Northern CA, you can find anything you like in clone form.

But not everyone is so lucky. If you don't live in a medical state. . .good luck getting ANY clones, let alone having your pick from 20 elite strains!
Even if you live in a medical state, not all of them are quite so pot-friendly as CA or CO, and you may not have the selection of anything you like.

Even if you can find something you like in clone form, you may not be ready to start growing it yet. There are still advantages to seeds, including portability and storage.
