Hi, and To flush or not to flush

Hello. New here. Thank you for having a newbie forum.

I grow almost-organic hydro with Pure Blend Pro and Liquid Karma. I have a plant that's about ready to cut, and
this time I'm thinking about not flushing. This is because when you flush, the plant is nutrient starved and in poor health when you cut it. If you don't flush, the plant is at the peak of health when you cut it, but you get harsher smoke.

I'm interested to know what you all think about flushing. Does it have any effect on the quality of the high? I've heard the arguments that it is only genetics that determine the quality of the high, not plant health. But I also believe in having a spiritual relationship with your plants. I hate watching the plant wither away when you flush, and my sensibilities say that the plant you grow will be more kind to you if you are kind to it.

Pics or no care. Yes, I know I let it get way too big and out of control for the space I have it in. Also the curling leaf syndrome near the top looks bad but I'm not too worried about it. I think I'll let it go a week or so more before I cut / flush.



EDIT: It's original Grapefruit. Here I am talking about spiritual relationships and plant health when mine is not the healthiest thing and I have it squished into a closet like an orphaned stepchild. She probably hates me.

Are you sure she is ready to cut down? Looks as though she could go longer ...

You may be right. I'm still learning when is the best time to cut. I don't like creeper

Flush even if it's for just a few days you will see the flowers expand a bit more and it will taste better

2 weeks is best at .2 ec ~100ppm... if you didnt over feed then hou can get away woth a few days less

Maybe zero ppm last 3 days, and you can turn your lights off at this point as well. Might be good for you cause your dealing with some heat issues.

They always take longer that you think...have you got yourself a scope to check the trichomes out with?

Last time I followed the looks of the trichomes with a magnifying glass I ended up letting it go too long. I gather the best time to cut is when you notice bud growth slowing.

How did it go to long by following the trichs? if you followed the trichs properly the plant would of been cut at the right time the time on a seed packet is just a guide they do't know how your environment will affect things or what pheno you will get

It's just my tastes. I like a speedy buzz that hits you quick. I tried waiting until some of the trichs were cloudy once and I didn't like it as much as stuff I had cut sooner.

I find clear trichs hangover smoke cloudy is where i like them

Clear does nothing for me. My buddy cut a plant I gave him, too early. I turned what he wanted to share with me, down.

Cloudy or it not pleasant for me.
