OOh .. where to start !
Well, I'm female ... (the Moonpie thing could mistake me for either sex, so I thought I'd get that one out of the way)
My OH bought some seeds and it is my mission to grow them into little smiley bushes of delight.
They're a dwarf outdoor type and I initially started with two seeds and have only managed to raise one. We called them Sadie and Arthur and sadly, Sadie was male .. soooo pretty though, but I know he is not what I want for my female at this time so I consigned him to the bin yesterday, after a ceremony and a bit of "shall we keep him as he looks pretty?"
I have never done this before and we don't have lights etc. etc., and they are to be taken around like children and put out in the sunshine in the morning and brought into the house at night.
As soon as Arthur got about six leaves she started to omit that smell of goodly goodness and is now having to keep to the sunny side of the garden out of the way as we worry people will start to sing the P Funk song .. "Something Stank and I want Some" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nphIkEVmzQ
We then started off 5 more .. and I should have ignored my OH as he kept asking if I were feeding them enough, and I hadn't actually fed the first two until about 3 weeks, so I thought OK .. feed them a bit .. and the buggers flopped over and died within MINUTES .. literally minutes . (They flopped in minutes, it took em a few days to die)
I now have one left and I worry it might be male as he has no smell whereas when Sadie was this one's age, she did. Am keeping it in a seperate room at the moment just in case.
Your board is so VAST and my head is in a spin trying to read everything I need to know to care for these little chaps properly.
I am about to start off 3 more little guys ... will keep you informed and when I get the chance I will take a pic of Arthur to show you.
Thank you and .. HELLO!
