HID bulbs

Is there any difference between the basic 1000w hid bulbs vs those expensive hid's my local hydro shop is trying to sell? Basic bulbs are only about $30-$40 while the "grower" bulbs are about $140. What's the difference?

The 100+ dollar bulbs are usually enhanced to have some blue spectrum in them.

LOL sorry I didn't notice this post. Guess better quality bulbs does make a difference. Thanks for the info!
