HID hood glass

I bought a hood from a friend it came with out the glass I ordered A new tempered glass but the stupid glass company made it a inch to big and tempered glass can't be cut dumbasses . I was wondering if plexiglass would melt or get fucked up under a 1000 wat HID . Anyone know what would be the best thing to do ? The glass company wants me to pay for the glass I WILL NOT , nor will I have the redo the order fucke them they blew it .

The melting point of plexiglass is 160 degrees Celsius. I dont know how hot it would get behind the plexiglass! Also plexiglass is not as clear as glass. Meaning glass virtually has no imperfections, but if you look thru plexi everything looks warped. Which would cause the light to be disturbed very unevenly. Just my opinion.

Then send it back and demand that they honor their contractual obligation.. If they don't, then they don't get money, very simple. If you refuse to do business with that company again, then use another, there are always other companies more than happy to take your money.

No to the Plexi , that shit it worthless and heat will effect it as well as a simple towel cleaning .. I agree with the others and would continue on .. I had a situation like so before but was lucky being the hood was a small 400 that just happen to accept a 11x14 picture frame glass panel .............

I refused to accept the glass , called my Cerdit card company which completely understood and since I never accepted the glass they gave me back my money . Searched on yelp and found a higher rated company placed my order hope all goes well thanks guys :bigjoint:
