So I was watching family guy last night. Baked as usual, and something dawned on me. Does Stewie talk in Baby talk or comprehendable English?
He's ignored most of the time by the Adults on the show, Yet the children
Chris/Meg/Brian (Especially) Brian Correspond with him very easily.

Discuss...

they do understand what he says but like only responds to him, when it pertains what's going on then and there i guess.

He speaks, everyone can hear him.

If you had kids, or younger brothers/sisters you'd know how annoying they get so sometimes people kinda just ignore them speaking.

I personally think stewie is hilarious.

Stewie is hilarious. I used to think the show was crap, People would revere the show and i'd shrug it off. Now im addicted to it, and I can see why. My favorite episodes are when Brian owes stewie money and stewie beats the living crap out of him, and where they both get plastered and stewie drives the car right through the side of the bar. Classic.

Dont u know that......... for them its just plain baby language.... :) he says it in the new series... Hey its a shame brian that only u can hear me speak ^^

Only the Griffin family can understand Stewie. You will notice that all other adult characters in the episode ignore what he saya with a few exceptions - like Frank Sinatra Jr.

Thats what I thought. Apparently this is a big topic on the interwebz. Do you have a link to this vid? Or what it's called? Many people have said what another poster said already. THey can hear him, they just find him annoying and pay no attention to him.

No, they dont understand him........ he's just a smart ass, it's like brian is extra smart........ but then again.. i think family guy crew is just playing around cuz

stewie shows chris a childrens book, saying look at him, he drew eyes on he's eye lids so that no one can tell he's sleeping.. and then chris says ... haha he's sleeping.

but then again chris is just making a statement not answering stewie..

so basicly NO, they cant understand him

If you watch the episode where they get the big ass house, stewie tells two of the servants to fight to the death, and they understand him just fine.

Your absolutley right. First he tell s him to cut something in half, then to cut his milk in half and the guy tell s him that he cant. Brian isnt the only one that can hear him. Ive seen him talk to people at parties. In one of the newer episodes he even says he cant talk to laurita because she is to close to the family(which means he could talk to people that werent close to the family). He can be understood by people outside the family but not the family and close friends

no no no. the thing with the little guy is that brian can understand him and people far outside the main cast can as well. to the main cast they are just hearing baby noises. like when he is yelling, he is just crying to them. it makes sense if you watch it like that. but in the episode where rupert is sold to the skiing fags, they are able to understand hm because they are outside the main cast. listen to their conversation in the first episode the the seventh season outside of lorreta's house. it makes it clear.
