High CBD strains with low psychoactive properties

Looking for suggestions for a high CBD strain with minimal psychoactive properties. This would be primarily for Crohn's inflammation and secondarily for insomnia. Doc wants me to have high systemic levels of CBD 24/7. Ingestion via capsule.

Really not interested in just a listing of high CBD strains, that is easy to find. I want to hear from folks with personal experience. I've seen particular mention of Cannatonic X, but haven't heard from anyone that has actually tried it.

Thanks for the quick reply. I've seen the site and there is a ton of information there (as well as on other sites specializing in analytics), but I'm more interested in personal experiences (especially from Crohn's patients).

ah...hopefully someone with some more experience with strains will chime in soon man...i dont have any diseases that require the usage of cannabis...so i've never looked into different strains for pain...good luck!

ismokealotofpot grows those types of strains. He has some info in the patients looking for caregiver thread.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but cbd is the degradation of thc, right? So any strain that's harvested a little later than normal (about 50%+ amber trichs) will be high in cbd, but low in thc.

CBN is the degradation of thc. CBD develops instead of thc..so no over ripening won't do the trick.

Do you know who howard marks is aka mr nice? He has a z7 cbd strain you might like. You can buy his seeds at auction cash only though if you email him he will send mailing instructions.Ill post the link not all of his strains are high cbd. http://www.mrnice.nl/dhtml/

I have some Resin Seeds Cannatonic in 6 weeks or so, I'll report back then. The pheno I'm working with is definitely sativa domminant, despite being described as a sativa that grow like a indica. Looks like a real low yielder but has tested at around equal parts thc/cbd each about 7%. Probably going some more pheno hunting, but first we'll see how it's received.

I've smoked some Harlequin I picked up from the local dispensary. I am not a fan of it. I barely feel any affect and don't really notice it working. Maybe that is what some people are after, but my only purchase left me unimpressed.

I grew some Pineapple Thai that is supposed to be a high cbd strain and it was some of the best tasting medicine I've had not to mention the high made me feel like I was at the beach. A+ on the Pineapple Thai - I'm trying some inside now to see if it will grow with my inside methods.

I've had no other supposed high cbd strain experience, but I am nevertheless very intrigued. I have some sohum high cbd gear and some z7 and cannatonic on the way to test out and hopefully find a keeper or two. I'll def post a grow log once I start in another couple months.

ive been smoking purple diesel hash oil from my dispensary to get relief in the morning before going to work, the stuff tested at about 42% CBD and like 31% THC so it still can pack a punch but the medicinal effects are almost ridiculous in how quick they onset.

the flowers are probably more suited for someone not looking to get blitzed as well as medicated

there was another one i think called panacaea that was a granddaddy purple hybrid that was outstanding for right after work. very mellow from the purps but not sleepy at all.

i dont have crohns but i have a hard time even thinking about eating anything all day unless ive had a puff to settle my pathetic stomache.
