not sure how many alaskans are here, but add another to the list. from matanuska valley, just outside palmer to be exact. lived here almost all my life and was blessed to be born to hippy alaskan parents. look foward to talking to you good people later on

I was just saying in another thread that I would love to pack up my things, head up the ALCAN Highway, and move into the Matanuska Valley. I'm quite envious. How is the job market out there?

Welcome, There are a few AK growers here. I personally live in San Diego but, was born and raised in Anchorage. What part of Matsu?

job markets not bad at all auzzie - winter can be challenging for certain industries. construction shuts down almost all together, i'm in real estate and that gets pretty slow as well but overall, fairly strong.
and im right outside palmer, lazy mountain area.

I just have to figure out what the hell I'm doing with my life, and see if it will coincide nicely with Alaskan living. Merely months away from a bachelor's degree, but still confused on what I want.

everythings a tad more expensive up here, pfd's are cool. lots of good weed. we dont get most of the advertised speacials on national commercials, I.E mc'donalds dollar menu is the dollar fifty menu up here.
