"Banjo" y strainers are nice. You could put a 2 inch filter on whatever sized line you have, using reducer fittings. The 1 1/2" and 2" inch + models have a lot more surface area than smaller 3/4-1" filters. Can get whatever mesh size you need.
I get mine off zoro.com for best price. I get most of my plumbing fittings from there actually.
If I ever switch to HPA, I might upgrade to one of those self cleaning backflush type filters. Where you spin the handle around instead of taking it apart to clean. Even tells you when its starting to clog.
They have automatic electronic ones that are very expensive, so I would rig up my own like the one above by using a motor/valves on it somehow.
