Hi all,
I am growing 3 strains, pineapple and blueberry kush and afghan kush under an 800w hps light in soil.
Afghan and pineapple kush in particular have started to show some undesirable effects.. leaves are extremely crispy and dry and are beginning to discolour and have necrotic spots, even some of the sugar leaves around the main colas.
I have been EC'ing and pH'ing every feed to ensure I'm putting in the right thing for my girls so a pH lockout was not my first thought..
I didn't know what was the cause of this, whether it was too much light or temperatures were getting too hot in the tent (can get to and stay at around 30 degrees Celsius on really hot days). I tested run off and the pH was ridiculously high (7.5 - and i was shocked! I have immediately began to flush with plain water pH'd to 6.2 to attempt to bring the runoff down, it is beginning to improve but not wanting to budge below 7.
Do i continue flushing plain pH'd water until the runoff drops to a desirable level? if so, how often?
Should i resume feeding once the run off has dropped down, if so should this be a more dilute feed then what the manufacturers recommend?
Help appreciated.
