High Times presents Top 10 strains of the year

F.I. is overpriced as is Jack Herer. Being a free market economy though some people will still pay these prices to get what they've been told is the best. Don't buy these strains at that price and watch how they come down.
 
This is mostly BS. Strains come and go, but the good ones stay, so stick with the proven seeds. After growing weed based on High Times reports I can safely say that NONE of those strains, when grown side-by-side with a solid White Widow, Blueberry, Haze, or Black Dom will come out any better. Remember Willie Nelson? Got all the hype just like these, and it is shit.

There was one cup winner I tried that lived up to its award - Paradise Opium.

i have smoked f.i. and its real stoney stuff!! put me on the couch and there i stayed but id beware of bcbud depot and just order them straight from vancouver island seed co!! there legit!!! ya'll be cool and smoke a fattie!!!!
 
i got me some whiteberry growin right now, n i picked up a tenner of the purps and the black a couple weeks back. Cant find FI at a store that sells to the US, so if anyone has aline would appreciate a shout :D

N this is mostly true. I was talkin with someoen not long ago about the HT top ten of 08, and they pointed out that Jorge Cervantes Diamonds made the top ten list - i mean COME THE FUCK ON. Jorges strain beat out a thousand other BOMB ass diggity strains to become one of the top rated nuggets of the year.Seriously, a strain that like 100 people have smoked, over some Blue Widow, The purps, RockLock, ect... i just dont see how thats a viable list. Although they are sportin some pretty fuckin nice strains there, i would have to say that puttin good ole jorge on the top ten list was a blatent show of favoritism at its worst, and it throws out the validity of the entire list altogether. I mean, Jorge Cervantes is great - hes an awesome grower dont get me wrong, but hes also HighTimes grower mascot. His face is plastered all over every single issue, and they push his grow tutorial books n dvds like its crack - theres a fuckin add with his cartoon fuckin face n fake dreads every other page, lol.
 
HT top ten ass kissers old boys network,is a scam run wild.Jorge probably hasnt grown in years,he gets his information from growers and then sells it to us.Im not saying he doesnt know his stuff but ive read old issues someone gave me thats all i had,alot of that information has been prooven wrong.But jack herer and jorge diamond will always be top ten,when they name a bud after rosensomething cant remember his name it will be top ten.I cant say ive read a HT newer then 06 but im sure it will be the same stuff,lights 12/12 during flowering and the makeing of space jill are apollo 11 or what ever strain they are breeding now.And sensi,soma,and serious seeds will be leading the way in new and improoved strains.thc will be in the high 20,s.and chemdawg plants one more of his sacred beans from the grateful dead concert and a new strain is born that rocks the pot world upside down.HT is a farce in my books.i like the british grow mag cant rember what its called im

I've been wanting to grow the black for a while. I want to play around with mixing those genetics into some of my lower producers.
 
So if one were interested in Romulan, should they go for Federation Romulan or TGA Rom x SQ (the flav)? Anyone have feed back for either one, good, bad, ugly.
 
if your interested in Romulan, then get Romulan. not rom x'd up with some other strain. get the OG strain, that way YOU can keep a mother, and eventually make your own unique strain , startin out with Rom. I mean, dont get me wrong, any type of premium seed you buy is worth it pretty much..
 
romulan from federation,it was good 10 years ago,ive not seen the new stuff,but i imagine they have kept up with keeping it healthy and potent.i cant remember which one was leafy back then the northern lights or romulan.
